MAI took off a few hours after I sold......

Just curious, does anyone know the fees associated with using margin? I'm with RBC and was wondering if there's a % per day or something like that?

4.25% compounded daily.

suzuka84, have you looked at LIM before? stocks been on a tear since late July. Low float, iron ore production starting this month, iron ore prices going up and up, and looks to be a good takeover candidate. Good management too. This is my favourite stock, been in since $3.94 :) :)

in 2015 with appx. $9/share in earnings and applying a conservative p/e of 8, you get $72! I think this'll be a good place to park money for a while ;)

Sorry bud. I don't follow non-BC based companies.
I'm looking at it now and it definitely looks good. Iron Ore is great as China has been trying to secure a steady iron ore production. Brazil recently enacted legislation that will hope to prevent China from going in and buying up their product. I'll look into LIM if the market cap drops below the $500m level. You definitely don't need my help. It should be the other way around.

My one iron-ore play is Adriana Resources and I only have it because they were once a BC based company which has since moved to TO.

In my portfolio, I'm sitting on a big cash position right now waiting for a pull back. My main margin portfolio sits undeployed so I'm stuck with Ivanhoe and a few big banks and hedge funds to margin against but nothing looks cheap enough to buy at the moment.

Yes, but not as active as AVR
maybe a few trades per month for MAI
This week and last week SP gapped up at open and fell throughout the day...so i thought the same was going to happen today....but it actually blasted off :(

Going to be doing some DD on shorting the following china abortions:

CAAS - they're late on their 10-Q and are restating the past few years.
SHZ - special committee... to cover their tracks. There's a reason their CFO resigned.

With copper prices expecting to rise, do you guy think CUU will hit 4.+?

I'm jumping in now, prob a bit late at ~2.

What do you guys think?

blkgsr 04-06-2011 09:04 AM

it should go well over $4

never to late to make money

3klipze 04-06-2011 09:07 AM

Correct on CSCO so far, over 5% gain today. NYB still stagnant, NVDA continues to fall.

3klipze 04-07-2011 06:28 AM

rb 04-07-2011 06:49 AM

congrats to those of you that got in early on CUU.

blkgsr 04-07-2011 07:11 AM

cuu is gone, there ain't no coming back now baby, and this still isn't on the new RE, just wait for that

i only wish i got more, and hadn't wasted my time with bcg when CUU went from 0.68 to mid $1 when i finally got out

oh well, still making $

i still have some BCG (the guys on the stockhouse seem pretty confident something will be coming out of there soon, i sure as shit hope so)

and opl is being a bitch, they need to sell that chip technology and make use all shit load of money FAST

shawnly 04-07-2011 07:14 AM

:( was looking to grab more CUU on a pullback

ilvtofu 04-07-2011 07:14 AM

At Blkgsr... on the same boat lmao FUUUU OPL

highfive 04-07-2011 07:59 AM

shawnly - me too. was gonna buy more at $2 but i hesitated and look at it now. haha

blkgsr 04-07-2011 08:12 AM

hesitation with cuu = lost profit

seriously

i don't know what the reason for this recent climb, maybe being on BNN but once they annouce the RE, hello way over $3

getting in to cuu will still get you profit

iceburner 04-07-2011 08:28 AM

Does anyone know if Gypsy Swaps are good or bad?

shawnly 04-07-2011 09:16 AM

CUU, what a mofo

highfive 04-07-2011 09:22 AM

I do think it might be BNN. When you are telling ppl it cost you nothing to mine out billions of copper. haha I know. Lost profit in CUU. I am looking into bcg. I hope once the golden triangle develops, bcg will be more noticed more.
