oh, seems like there are quite a few new investors here on RS, just wanted to share with you guys a site that i found which was helpful on learning the fundamentals of stocks.

http://stockcharts.com/school/doku.php?id=chart_school

enjoy,

PS: i hope CUU RE comes out soon, i have another possible double bagger i want to invest in :D

crazyazn 05-03-2011 05:06 PM

^Cool site.

I've done a bit of trading before, but mostly investment type with big companies like RBC.

I'm wanting to get into more frequent trading and perhaps flipping stocks daily for profit.

3klipze 05-03-2011 05:15 PM

if anything, you should probably start off on a smaller step like swing trading, daytrading is not easy, i know a few others who do , it is pure dedication and time

crazyazn 05-03-2011 05:23 PM

^Ah I see, swing trading is more of what I was thinking...any tips on where to start?

3klipze 05-03-2011 05:44 PM

i am not a very experienced trader myself, I've only done this for 3 months with real money, for the last year I've been doing simulations.

Depending on which market you are going to trade, start looking for companies with more interest and watch the trading trends, and possible NR

Think everyones scared to buy more ... Thinking the RE price is already in there , could be another CIN scenario .

I believe the RE price is not already set , even if so , i believe that the standard price for this gem is at 3$ with it's property ,

What makes you think that the RE is set in ?

Yup, I'm holding a pretty sizable position right now from my previous one. this bitch better bounce off 2.

wzl.to its got a good chart 2.30 now, i think it will be 6 or 7 bucks by this time next year.

they make drilling bits for oil rigs and stuff.

blkgsr 05-04-2011 06:13 AM

cuu, down down down

fuck

DOHCVTEC 05-04-2011 06:44 AM

Let's hope my order for CUU at $1.90 goes through today. Finally sold LUN after more than a month - thank you Chinese rumours!

Anybody see the Renren IPO? It's like year 2000 again :D

CFO resign. I don't think it's a big deal but news is news.

DOHCVTEC 05-04-2011 07:24 AM

Alright I just pulled my bid order for CUU. I'll buy when it drops to $1.50 or else I won't risk it. At times like these I rather have cash. The market looks like it's going to implode.

3klipze 05-04-2011 07:35 AM

Does anyone know what the reason for this delay without an update ? This is ridiculous , Harper common , lol

Bought more at 1.96 today. IMO, the value is there. It's a matter of time the RE and FS comes out.

ooops 05-04-2011 09:50 AM

wow people are buying more CUU? market is looking scary! lets hope CUU makes a bounce back

anyone cut their losses?

exactly....is isn't a "gamble" they value is there, just waiting for the additional value to be calculated and annouced

then comes the FS, 120 days, and buyout time

strykn 05-04-2011 10:19 AM

grabbed more at a 2.0, seems to be holding on decent volume.

blkgsr 05-04-2011 10:41 AM

coming back up to to 2.09

would have been a nice grab at mid 1.9x's

strykn 05-04-2011 10:47 AM

^ Yea, if i had woken up 20 min earlier, happy with buying a bunch at 2 tho. It is bouncing nicely @ 2.15 right now

highfive 05-04-2011 11:26 AM

^Early bird gets the worm buddy. haha

I emailed the investor's relations yesterday asking about the RE. Haven't heard anything yet. I'll post when I find out more from them.

same here - i can't put anymore money into it (i have to stay somewhat diversified), but getting in at <$2 could have been a very nice thing to do today! (thankfully my cost base is well below that, but still, making money is making money!)

For the noobs...

Emailing them is far worse than calling the CEO of the company which I did before. Not for CUU, but for many others. I chatted with alot of CEOs over the phone and never do they leak a single world about REs because this could greatly affect the SP and they are not allowed to say anything about it. Just sit & wait it'll be fun, i added some CUU around $2 mark today.
