Planning to dump half my shares tomorrow, gonna see what happens after RE. Been a nice run though!

iam_dan 05-04-2011 08:59 PM

good time to add to your shares in CUU, IMO

anyone into OPL? i watched it go up from 0.80 to 1.79..now its at 1.20, anticipating a Q1 report in mid may.

blkgsr 05-05-2011 06:24 AM

ya i've been in OPL since .80 and then again at .97

sold the .97 chunk at .99 to pick up more CUU at 2.5 :(

CUU drops, and now opl is too so i'm not feeling as bad lol

cuu SHOULD have popped already but let's hope they get the RE out soon

when is the Q1 for opl expected? apparently they've signed more solar contracts

3klipze 05-05-2011 07:33 AM

RE is delayed til mid may , AS should be within 10 days , subjected to weather conditions :( . I have a feeling we are going to be testin 1.80 as support within next week

blkgsr 05-05-2011 08:13 AM

was there a release from CUU saying that? mid May

3klipze 05-05-2011 08:19 AM

Yup , its on their website saying the RE will be later in may , maybe not "mid" . My bad

CAN hasn't been doing too well lately either..

blkgsr 05-05-2011 09:22 AM

who was the one that brought up AVT a while back?

i've been watching it since then, it was at .31 when you brought it up, .22 today

what's the deal? good time to buy or has something happend?

highfive 05-05-2011 09:26 AM

^ The mid may is the 8000m diamond drilling program. I actually starting to like this. Instead of having the RE out in April and drill program in May and FS in June where we have time gaps for the stock to pullback if ppl want to sell, we'll have a bunch of news out within a short time frame and whoever was late to the party will scramble for shares.

iam_dan 05-05-2011 10:32 AM

^

thats exactly what i think, too.
all the NR's are going to come at a shorter interval, and there'll be more of a boom rather than a pop :)

besides, commodities overall are doing bad. its not a good time for the RE to come out anyways.

Fucking market correction

suzuka84 05-05-2011 03:50 PM

there's no need to run for the doors, we went through a similar correction around feb 2011 so the current stock price drops are still within acceptable parameters.

4444 05-05-2011 05:41 PM

the only way this correction effects u is if you HAVE to sell, its a great opportunity to buy, so i suggest if you have some excess cash, thank the lords for this correction & pick up some great names for great value.

the fundamentals HAVE NOT changed

strykn 05-05-2011 08:08 PM

no shit, we all still get that feeling when we see red :), I added a bunch to my positions today in the sea of red

sdubfid 05-05-2011 10:45 PM

I noticed that 8000m briefly in the news release. Shouldn't it be 800m? 8km is roughly a third of the way through the crust. Would be nice to see a drop again tomorrow to load up.

Edit: or does it mean 8000m in total depth of drilling combining all holes

iam_dan 05-06-2011 01:16 AM

i believe they said the drilled hole will be 8000m.
it will be the depth of the drilled hole(s), not combined depth.
i recall them saying they will drill one OR two holes.

The majority of the 2011 drilling program is expected to be completed in the Paramount zone. The 2011 drilling program also contemplates completing one or two diamond drill holes into the ES and GK zones and the large chargeability anomaly to test each zone for its copper-gold potential.

sdubfid 05-06-2011 01:51 AM

I know the previous holes were roughly 700m and less. I think the 8000m is combined. But I could be wrong I'm not a mining expert.

I found a company in Chile's estimated drilling costs.

Budgeted cost for mapping and 8,000m drill program:
Camp Labour $ 8,200
Assaying (8,000 samples & $15) $120,000
Drilling (8,000m)
Diamond drilling:4,800m@$95/m $456,000
RC drilling: 3,200m@$50/m $160,000
Equipment (Bulldozers & truck rentals) $198,000
Food & Supplies $ 31,000
Geologists (Project Mngr. + 3 geologists) $291,000
Transportation $ 18,200
Contingency $ 10,000
Total: US$1,292,400
