ya i've been in OPL since .80 and then again at .97

sold the .97 chunk at .99 to pick up more CUU at 2.5

CUU drops, and now opl is too so i'm not feeling as bad lol

cuu SHOULD have popped already but let's hope they get the RE out soon

when is the Q1 for opl expected? apparently they've signed more solar contracts

^ The mid may is the 8000m diamond drilling program. I actually starting to like this. Instead of having the RE out in April and drill program in May and FS in June where we have time gaps for the stock to pullback if ppl want to sell, we'll have a bunch of news out within a short time frame and whoever was late to the party will scramble for shares.

^

thats exactly what i think, too.
all the NR's are going to come at a shorter interval, and there'll be more of a boom rather than a pop

besides, commodities overall are doing bad. its not a good time for the RE to come out anyways.

there's no need to run for the doors, we went through a similar correction around feb 2011 so the current stock price drops are still within acceptable parameters.

the only way this correction effects u is if you HAVE to sell, its a great opportunity to buy, so i suggest if you have some excess cash, thank the lords for this correction & pick up some great names for great value.

the fundamentals HAVE NOT changed

I noticed that 8000m briefly in the news release. Shouldn't it be 800m? 8km is roughly a third of the way through the crust. Would be nice to see a drop again tomorrow to load up.
Posted via RS Mobile

Edit: or does it mean 8000m in total depth of drilling combining all holes

i believe they said the drilled hole will be 8000m.
it will be the depth of the drilled hole(s), not combined depth.
i recall them saying they will drill one OR two holes.

Quote:
The majority of the 2011 drilling program is expected to be completed in the Paramount zone. The 2011 drilling program also contemplates completing one or two diamond drill holes into the ES and GK zones and the large chargeability anomaly to test each zone for its copper-gold potential.

I know the previous holes were roughly 700m and less. I think the 8000m is combined. But I could be wrong I'm not a mining expert.

I found a company in Chile's estimated drilling costs.

Budgeted cost for mapping and 8,000m drill program:
Camp Labour $ 8,200
Assaying (8,000 samples & $15) $120,000
Drilling (8,000m)
Diamond drilling:4,800m@$95/m $456,000
RC drilling: 3,200m@$50/m $160,000
Equipment (Bulldozers & truck rentals) $198,000
Food & Supplies $ 31,000
Geologists (Project Mngr. + 3 geologists) $291,000
Transportation $ 18,200
Contingency $ 10,000
Total: US$1,292,400
