I took some profits on cuu a little while back. Got most of my shares at .475 last august. I remember for a few months there was no activity in the .70s then once it past $1 it seemed to take off. I still have some but not as much. It's hard to wait but CUU has held up really well compared to others and how quickly it ran up. I'm in for FS just to see what happens.

It seems like a lot of people, particularly on the SH boards, are betting big on CUU. Moreover, that SC development would be a good thing for our BC economy too. All the best! | fair enough, that profit is profit, and NOTHING is a sure bet, but when you look at the value of the company with what is 'expected' to be in the ground & feasible at these prices, I just 'know' as much as anyone can 'know' that the price will have to come up, otherwsie you'd have $x billion value in the ground (discounted to today's dollars) at a market cap of way less than that.
BUt i agree, I wish it'd just hurry up and happen already, I already have big plans for this money, and am at my limit for amounts I want to margin against (to be honest, i want to marigin 0%, but that's just not realistic for young, greedy ppl!)

^ I felt the same way originally. But at a negative cost to mine 8 billion pounds of copper, it's too much value to ignore. Especially the option agreement Teck got themselves into. When CUU is able to present the FS out, Teck would have to decide what to do with CUU or they will lose out on this potential mine to another buyer. The only risk I see right now is CUU is unable to finish the FS due to costs or anything else. But from the last new releases, getting funds is actually not a problem at all for CUU.

Teck will say: "take it or leave it".
Because CUU is mostly (65% actually) insider owned, the insiders, having got their shares for only $0.10, would be happy with a 2000% profit, no strings attached. Elmer will then transition to his post at Boxer gold, thus leaving retail investors like us stuck without much of a word. (Remember the insiders can't unload their shares on the open market without the SP tanking). Teck has probably been buying the remaining shares, so between CUU insiders and TECK, they could own 80% of the float.

Furthermore, I noticed the stockhouse guys are all already talking about the "next CUU". In my humble opinion, I think there will be a massive sell off as soon as news comes out, however good or bad. We should have a CUU-meet after this is all said and done. Your treat (lobster) if CUU pops, mine (McDonalds) if it drops. |

The insiders know how much value is in the ground. If Teck does low ball them, they rather face the open market for investments. Or they can let Teck keep that 75% and arrange all financial obligations and CUU can just sit there and become a cash cow.
Keep in mind that Stifel financial has bought a lot of CUU shares above $2. From my earlier post, Stifel was the person who sponsored the Whistler / Toronto Conference meetings between CUU (and other junior miners) and investment brokers.
DOHCVTEC - how about a McLobster from New England McDonalds? hahahaa
