Keep in mind that Stifel financial has bought a lot of CUU shares above $2. From my earlier post, Stifel was the person who sponsored the Whistler / Toronto Conference meetings between CUU (and other junior miners) and investment brokers.
DOHCVTEC - how about a McLobster from New England McDonalds? hahahaa | Deal on the McLobster! I think Monday will be "judgement day" for CUU - good luck to those who are still holding.
From my understanding, Stifel is just a brokerage house, meaning they could be buying for a client, any client. Heck, that client could very well be Teck, but we'll never know until this is all said and done.

On a different note, how do you guys feel about Barrick Gold at the moment? Given the recent dismal job report from the US, gold and silver might continue their week-long mini-rally. Gold and silver stocks could therefore benefit in the coming weeks. Thoughts?

I'm also looking for a penny stock to put some of the "ultra-high-risk" part of my portfolio into. Got any suggestions?

Very rarely does a stock's price go up on an anticipated RE, especially one that is followed so closely and with such high expectations. Everyone was expecting a miracle, like 10X the original resource or something that insane. So even when the RE showed not much of a difference, everyone got impatient and sold. Makes perfect sense, as all the insiders got their shares for $0.10.

I may pick some up when it gets a bit lower. Or maybe an ore stock. Haven't decided yet.
I really wish MER would go up though, i dunno wth is going on with that company. It's using up all my TFSA room.

I'm all cash and waiting to buy - like a kid in a candy store. However, I do not think this is it. I will see how the markets are by the end of this week. We have Italy going underwater soon, and then there's Spain. Obama doesn't seem to be in much of a hurry either to solve their debt problem. The currency markets may be where I'll go next.
