i agree, once we start getting the deep drill results the sp will go back up. I guess a lot of people dumped bcuz of the RE and lower copper/moly/gold amounts, even though it was excepted by Elmer. We are also getting hit hard by margin calls; expect another big dump soon from questrade margins.

Imagine being boss enough to put a cool $1 million on a trade, and have it turn into $40 million in a few weeks.

"...June 27th options trade where a trader sold 30,000 January 2012 $21 puts and bought 30,000 January 2012 $25 calls. The $1M trade will be worth more than $40M on the open tomorrow."

For those still in CUU, how low of a SP will you tolerate before selling? I'm thinking of putting some of my "ultra-high-risk" money into CUU now that the selling is tapering off. Furthermore, what do you guys think will happen to gold/silver once the US agrees on a debt deal next week?

questrade margins went from 25% to 0% so there was a big sell out today. good news is that the insiders bought a lot of shares today. Will have to reconfirm when they file it but i'm pretty sure it is them.

This is just a guess but i hope there will be big NRs next week to bring back the confidence in the retail investors and bring the SP back up.

With the release of the Chargeability Model and huge buy from Ernesto today (744k shares), i think CUU is looking for a great week next week. My guess is there will be some type of news next week.

Today was a rough day but we ended up rebounding quite nicely and the L2 looks promising with a lot of potential buyers.

Insider Selling Jumps to Highest Level Since 2007 (Update2) - Bloomberg

Insider selling and buying isn't always the right indicator to predict future stock price movement. This article was written back in April of 2009. We all know what happened since.

It wouldn't surprise me CUU test the low it made on June 11 at 1.45, which is also the 200 days moving average.

While I agree that one cannot trade consistently well based on insider transactions, there is a difference between insider selling and insider buying. Insider selling can happen for a variety of reasons, whether they be for tax deductions, family needs, debt refinancing, taking advantage of a recent rally, or simply to spurge on a new yacht. Insider buying, however, almost always implies that the insider knows something more than that which is reflected in the SP, because buying involves taking money out of some other vehicles (bonds, property, ETFs, or property) and putting it into the stock.

In the case of CUU, though, because that Mexican already has nearly 50% of the shares, I don't really know what he is doing. He obviously cannot dump his share on the open market, so the only other option is a buyout. Without a buyout, his shares are worthless. So perhaps a buyout is in play, but what's not to say that the buyout price is at $1.50? I think most of the insiders, having bought in at $0.10, would be happy with a 15X gain, no strings attached. The retail investor might not be happy with this, but why would the insiders care about them when they own most of the company and therefore do not need their votes?

On a side note, I should have bought into Prophecy Platinum!

I also think a buyout is in play , no way with a 4-8$ premium, I also think the premium is going to be something retails are going to despise lol around 3$ imo

I think the takeover will probably be at $1.50. Most of the company is now owned by insiders. Thus, obtaining majority shareholder approval, say at 75%, will not be difficult - even if every single retail shareholder opposes. Heck, even a takeover of $1.00 might be approved, given the economy now.

hell yeah, bought 6000 shares at $2.50 too...not selling this one for a while. Another one to look into is DML. These 2 will give you some good returns in the next little while.

And lol, can't say I didn't see that one coming on CUU, classic dump on the news scenario. Stick a fork in it, CUU is done for a while.

yea well if the buyout is going to be around $1.50 (or even $1), it wouldn't make sense for ernesto to be buying in the open market at $1.56 ~ $1.6 like he has in the past few days...

and since ernesto owns over 55% of the shares, as long as he says 'no' to a price lower than what he's been buying at, then the takeover won't happen.

At the current CUU price, Ernesto's shares are worth about $300+ million. He has spent less than $2 million in buying on the open market, perhaps just to give CUU retailers that confidence they need to push the SP higher. If the takeover doesn't happen, then CUU is done. Ernesto's shares are worthless without a takeover, because he can't sell them on the open market. So for that reason, I fully expect him to accept a low-ball offer. If you were him, having invested just $30 million a couple years ago, which is now worth $300+ million, would you take that and call it a good day? Or would you nickel and dime, dragging out the process and thus risking a collapse in the economy?

ugh i don't like what you guys have to say...so a buy out at $1.50 would immediately cause a max SP of $1.50

or $1 for that matter?? i just don't see them selling it for that cheap...i know they've made huge moeny on this but that's like selling $1 for $0.05

i hope it's atleast $3....oh please please
