Can anyone help me with tfsa details?

-So i know the deposit cap is $15,000 or $5000 each yr for so far 3 years.
-capital gains from trades are not taxed

so say, i made a capital gain of 5000$ and ended up with an ending balance $20,000. Can i then use all of the $20,000 asset to trade again?

^ Yes. Nothing is taxed within your TFSA. Even when you withdrawal it. The only drawback is that you cannot put back what you withdrawal in the same year until the following year.

CUU is doing well. Hopefully we are back over $2 soon.

so wait if i had $35,000 and i withdraw 15,000 and end up with 20,000 in the TFSA. The following year (jan 1st?) i can deposit the 15,000 i withdrew plus another 5000 for the new year?

thanks!

just google it - and no, i don't believe that is what you can do, the TFSA is made for investing, not taking out money gained and then reinvesting when you fancy, but again, google it, i'm sure hte CRA has some bullitten about it

Also, anyone thought about GAME and GA? Chinese MMO game makers.

After gaining 30% in the past what 5-6 trading days, I think it's profit taking.

AAPL is fucking crazy...$2 over estimate!! how the fuck do you do that?

Even at this price, they are still trading at the teens P/E. Compare it to google, AAPL is cheap.

Apple now has $78 billion of cash in the bank. That's more than all of Goldman Sach's market value of $66 billion. LOL
Apple tripled its revenue in Asia from $1.8B to $6.3B. That's just the beginning.

I know it's a bit far away relatively, but how do you guys feel about the American debt ceiling conflict? How do you think their decision will affect the markets?

A Historical Perspective on U.S. Debt - Seeking Alpha A good article about the US debt problem. During the 40s, US debt has surpassed GDP. Right now, US debt is like 90%? of GDP? I don't think it'll be an issue to increase the debt ceiling, but I'm afraid the politicians will use this as a weapon politically instead.

When will AAPL start paying dividend?

Also, they always blow away their estimates...but their own estimates are always so low (e.g. lower than the consnesus estimate) !
