well they could get 75% working interest in the mine for 200M but why would they do that. It is in Teck's interested and ours to just get a straight buy out. In the long run Teck would be making more money. Say the mine is worth 30billion when mined out, we hold ~25% (i don't remember the liard agreement so lets just say 25) we would make about 7.5billion in the long run, whereas Tech could probably buy us out at 3billion now. It would be in Teck interest to do it. This is with the 2007 numbers so if we used the 2011 numbers the mine would be worth over 60b and the 25% would be 15B. All expense will be paid by Teck so we are pretty much free riding in this situation.

and i agree with you the buyout will be around 6-8$. I used an online calcuator and got a NPV of ~3.2B. Teck has 3.7 billion cash sitting right now and they are just waiting for the bfs to make the decision.

True.. I'm calculating conservatively based on the 2007 numbers.

With the higher grade of the RE ->faster payback period -> higher NPV
Higher commodities prices ->higher NPV
Any other additional resources discovered from now till BFS ->higher NPV

This would add to the buyout vale.

pretty sure the spread between the 10 year treasury and sp500 dividend yield is the widest we've seen in years

This is a good read.
Virtus - Joe Terranova Blog

I agree with it. This isn't 2008 but it's selling like it is. I hope you guys bought some oversold stocks cause in a few months, we'll be laughing at this. Honestly, there is going to be one massive short squeeze coming. I think there's FEDS announcements tmrw right?

I'm mostly cash now... but my portfolio is down about 10K...

Then again, when volume start to go below the average, I'm planning to go big. I think somewhere in the 100~150K range.
