this is a little misleading..and can bite you if you're playing pennies and sub-pennies.

the deal is.. 4.95 per trade and 1 cent per share for any trade over 500 shares.

having said that...to make decent money off pennies and such, perhaps you'd wanna buy more than 1000 shares in a given stock. well, then the 9.95 unlimited trading package would be more suitable.

i use questrade too...and i like them very much.

now...i wanna know who cashed in on cctc today? and who plans on buying in when ppl start selling off tomorrow....and holding or just skimping a mere profit at the least?

KaOsTiK 02-11-2008 05:36 PM

btw...if anyone wants questrade referral requests...PM me. i think you get 5 free trades or something out of it.

Can you PM a referral? I tried to sign up earlier but it kept getting stuck after the first page.

when a stock gets de-listed, it just means they aren't on a stock exchange anymore

getting listed on the stock exchange includes having a minimum price, annual reporting requirements, etc

usually the main reason stocks are de-listed is not meeting a minmum price, and might have a reverse stock split in order to get back on there

A really bad thing about not being on the stock exchange is that they might be able to screw around with the annual reports, not having enough equity funding

Actually two things can happen if a stock gets delisted:

1) It gets kicked down to a junior exchange.

(ie. NASDAQ to OTCBB) (OTCBB to Pinksheets)

2) It just no longer trades. You are left with stock which will have very little to zero liquidity.

Interactive Intelligence (ININ) dropped huge recently like SIRF, they offer call center services to companies like Capital One. missed earning potentials and dropped on consumer confidence imo.

I lucked out on Yahoo last week at $22 or so, let's hope the buyout goes through! Keep the tips coming!

Interactive Intelligence up nearly 10% today! Should've bought some last week. Now let's see if SiRF do the same despite getting dropped by Garmin...

Last Trade: 17.36
Trade Time: Feb 11
Change: Up 1.53 (9.67%)

Mananetwork 02-14-2008 07:45 AM

I had GRIN this morning.. I let it go to early because I didn't think the news was good enough to hold and the thing shot up 400%+

l4d2_sarge 02-15-2008 05:18 AM

just put an order in for DISK.. cmon baby fly this could be a diamond in the rough before word hits the street on this one

basically it has been getting owned the past month because of a buyout deal that fell through. But they released very good earnings last night so it looks like the company is doing great on their own, hopefully it shoots back up fast to the levels it was before shit hit the fan

l4d2_sarge 02-15-2008 07:06 AM

damn was hoping for a pop at the open guess it will take a bit of time

Mananetwork 02-15-2008 07:10 AM

DISK did well this morning, but it couldn't hold the overnight buys. It's made a profit though.

I picked up TUBR. Super quiet stock with very little volume but after reading about it it look promising, but very risky. Internet video sharing ftw! It's well for me

Synarchist 02-15-2008 01:41 PM

think TUBR will go down a bit on monday next week or rise?

No idea. There was no news, not sure why the spike, might be internal. The rest of the day it was quiet, resistance at .5 and .45. I have to now do some research over the weekend.

KaOsTiK 02-15-2008 02:01 PM

cctc has readjusted between $6-7 per share, giving a presplit value of $30-35 per share. I think i told you guys about this when it was $18-20

news is coming out from india after their meeting with gov't officials on feb 26. it's also rumored that a PR maybe seen next week.

i'm loading up on shares while she's low.

White_TSX83 02-15-2008 06:14 PM

there's huge potential with cctc. got some at 5.75 today, very happy about that. good luck to all of you guys with this stock!

Monday the markets are closed..

Prob gap down on tuesday and close around the support from this week (.2 or less). I say this because it gapped up with no news and very little volume. Everyone and their mom is going to be dumping this tuesday.

Always take your profits. Esp with pinkies..

You don't need news for everything. Sometimes stock move because people talk, some people might know something I don't know. It's a gamble though, I don't want to say TUBR is going to be stable at opening, that's why i'll watch it. If I see a downtrend, i'll sell, take my profits and move on.

KaOsTiK 02-15-2008 11:03 PM

^ or stock manipulation, insider trading, paying off debts with shares, etc.

Synarchist: hindsight is always 20/20. I've learned, that if you leave the shoulda woulda coulda's behind you...it keeps your stress at a minimum

KaOsTiK 02-15-2008 11:05 PM

ic.

I think this move today was pretty abnormal. Don't you think average joes will sell off at the next bell or sell half and keep the free shares? I think people who bought from september till last week will be selling.

I realize you don't need news for everything. I used to base my picks on what kind of company it was and news and all that stuff but I soon realize that even if pk's and ob's have great news the stock will either hit the moon or sink. it pisses me off. Now i base my trades 90% TA and seem to find better exits and entry points.. instead of guessing and holding bags and watching stocks sink hoping and praying for PR's to push it back up. if you learn ta you take out the guess work and save urself a lot of stress and money imo..

Alphamale 02-16-2008 03:19 AM

Sorry to ask, but what is "TA"?

and most of the times its promoters selling stock between themselves trying to "create" volume and luring in outside buyers...
