And that is fine. Stocks could be a whole lot higher a year from today. But my statement is more directed toward people who does short term trading.

if short term yields are higher than long term yields (2yr vs 10yr) in bond/treasury mkts. it is predicting a recession/contraction

someone may correct me if im wrong but it works to that effect

think about it. why would long term debt pay less interest than short term debt?

anyways just google it. in this mkt. the forex and bond mkt will tell u what to do

I don't know about a sure bet. Before the statement I actually kind of expected the market would go up just to screw with the bears a little bit. But hey that is why I love the market because just when you thought you got it all figured out it makes you look like a complete idiot.

bloodbath. CDN dollar down 3 cents already as commodities take a beating.

Eating some losses but there will be lots of deals.

Jermyzy 09-22-2011 08:22 AM

^+1. Still have some cash, will be looking for some deals on some long-term dividend-paying stocks I have.

The CDN dollar drop actually benefits me as I'm holding a few US stocks
