Almost all my stocks are long-term hold, dividend-paying stocks anyways. If they start dropping even more, I will just add more of them to my portfolio.
And that is fine. Stocks could be a whole lot higher a year from today. But my statement is more directed toward people who does short term trading.
I don't know about a sure bet. Before the statement I actually kind of expected the market would go up just to screw with the bears a little bit. But hey that is why I love the market because just when you thought you got it all figured out it makes you look like a complete idiot.

hahah. i been tracking that too. i bought calls on goog morning thinking for a run up into the fed at 11:15 and a quick pop of the indexes to +120 so i can sell. shit didnt happen so picked on gs puts to cut losses. i still loss for the day but i'll takr it Posted via RS Mobile
some of you here think i fucking around giving bad advice.. i been thru shit these years and learned some tricks of how market may move
of course i dont get everything right, but this is what goes on and how fast and against the crowd you have to trade
bloodbath. CDN dollar down 3 cents already as commodities take a beating.
Eating some losses but there will be lots of deals.

I don't have a US brokerage account, so all my US stocks are bought/sold/reported as CDN dollars
thats not good. open an US acct
i did the same thing
u lose money on every trade cuz they convert using their rates
