Gap fill $37.50 on POT anyone? Too bad no one else will be around this time to make a bid for the company thanks to all the protectionism demonstrated by this government.

I bought some MS.

Imho, undervalued based on positions and fundamentals.

I keep reading opinions that MS will go under if we go into another recession.
What is your rationale on MS? I'm looking at it too

While these are just news articles and to be taken with a grain of salt but it does state some facts.

I think its time to stop speculating and start a core of defensive divy players. Some of mine that have faired well are BCE BA and CGX. All these guys pay a 5% yield.

SiRV 10-03-2011 10:22 PM

any thoughts on BOA??? I've been watching this one for a week or so now waiting for it to hit bottom... it's passed the Buffet 5 billion buy mark now, and even though he's got 'privileged' shares, it still looks like a good deal at the moment

dont catch any falling knives

if financial rises, it wont all rise on in one day

you wont miss the way up
but you will get hurt trying to time the bottom here

for reference guys... look at the great depression and the stock market crash of then

notice the dead cat bounce and further downside?

history doesnt repeat.. it rhymes though

Meme 10-03-2011 11:17 PM

Hmm what are your thoughts on the short-term prospects in the commodities markets? Gold and silver as well as copper have been hit hard in these past few months and all the experts are wary in predicting any direction.

Looks like it is going to be a bear market for a while though... It's a bit funny how Goldman Sachs kept going on about potential stagflation in the market and now its being bumped up to a soon-to-be recession depending on the big events that are going to occur in the euro zone soon.

lime56 10-03-2011 11:42 PM

gold is still the way to go
its based off the US dollar so its currently tied together inversely
but notice how the dollar rose and so did gold

just go buy what the FED is buying
