shorted the euro this week. made a good 50% so far. lets see how it goes next week. |
Well folks, since nobody else is talking lol... CLL up to .93 and seems to be holding steady, meanwhile SLI is at 1.63.. I've been waiting for this stock to take a beating for a while now. I started my TFSA in October... it is now at 44k :fuckyea: LFD still on the rocks.. nobody knows whats going on.... been halted since 1pm friday. |

TFSA 20k investment, I actually over contributed to buy more CLL in December lol LFD resumes at at 10:45 Pacific Time, might be a good chance for some guys to ride it up and then dump at the end of the day? In negotiations with multiple potential buyers of the property they hold in Iraq. In Dec they put out the same news specific to one company (Genel) and the price doubled... .05 to .10 Well I put a bid in at .135 and didn't get in... probably for the best since I was hoping for a quick day flip. |
LFD.VN spiked up 32% within minutes! |

I bought another 16.5k shares or CLL this morning at .88 so my new AVG share price is .6151 and I am holding... (get ready for the lulz...) 100001 shares lol. Everyday is an emotional rollercoaster lol. Laugh if you want... but here are the three most obvious scenarios and how I feel about them.... CLL does not sell out or JV, oil stays high, share price climbs to roughly 1.50 by release of 2011 financials, and continues to climb to just shy of 2$ as they announce approval of expansion and either get twinning and penhold producing or sell them off. CLL goes JV, similar story to what is above. CLL sells out, 2.50-4.00 range. Once it gets to 2$ territory I will start looking at stop losses... Assuming oil stays 90+/BBL, IMO domestically produced oil, and especially domestically owned producers will hold great value in the future. NAV 1.42/share... very few producers in this sector that are trading below NAV... and none with the balance sheet CLL has. (None with as much debt lol.. not what I actually meant lol) |
I can only imagine your excitement when it goes up .01!! You have done your research so no reason for me to laugh. I am confident oil will stay over $90/b for quite a while. If it's this high during slow growth imagine what it will be when there is a recovery. Your comments want me to buy more though dammit. I have just 4400 shares @ .915 avg |
It would be hard for oil to drop below $90 for now. Any fuck up in Iran would push oil a lot higher. |
what's everyone's thoughts on the eurozone problem? Im still 95% cash because of it. With insane unemployment rates except Germany, I think shit will hit the fan......? |

^Sure puts our "problems" into perspective doesn't it? |

So how about this "economic weather"? |
The weather is great!! I am commodity heavy so doing quite well today. Even BNS up over 1%. |
SLI is taking it on the chin again lol.. finally the fundementals seem to be more critical than the "hype". Had a lot of co-workers get sucked into this one as we had a pumper in the office lol. For what it's worth, the same individual that initially got me interested in CLL and "hinted" that they would be getting a buyout offer was in my office today and singing the same tune, says another offer is in the works... whether or not he is right... I guess we will see. |

i wish i could fail you:failed: and fail you with all due respect i have two kids... unless you are rich and hire a nanny, tutor, and have personal maids/butlers raising kids and having a full time job is very hard especially when in this world both parents have to working and i cant imagine ppl doing single parent i've seen it first hand here in rainbowland we call canada my wife helped babysit the guys kid while he worked anyways...... events happen in life... i bet if you lost your job you couldnt even take care of yourself.... i say this with all due respect to make a point not a direct flame |

I don't have any kids and won't have any until I feel very secure about being able to give them a good life. How many people get pregnant by "accident" by being irresponsible (Drunk, no birth control, etc)? How many people have kids cause they "want them" regardless of their finances, or any other variable that may negatively impact their childs life? How many people have kids cause of their religious disposition, regardless of if they can afford to take care of kids? If you want kids, please try and plan for it is my view... I know most people in my life sure didn't plan for their kids. Life throws everyone curve balls, kids are your #1 priority, I would never leave my fucking kid in a basket and hope it worked out ok. Totally respect your view on this. EDIT: I also cant help but get irritated.. a country full of people working 25 hour workweeks... with their retirement age?? No wonder they are broke. |
at least they have somewhere to 'throw' their kids to but i cant fathom giving them up losing kids to divorce etc... or even accidental death or tragedy fortunately we live in a country that still have jobs i will pick up bottles and cans if i have too but they just dont have a choice 16 euros a day? where shit is most expensive on earth? man.... To change to a less depressing topic...Who's going to Cambridge House Vancouver Resource Exhibition??? |

V.SLI St. Elias Mines Ltd. Drilling Results St. Elias Mines Ltd. Quote:
The reason I posted this is mainly because it's a real kick in the balls to the shareholders (The ones who were stupid enough to buy into their sale pitch of "oz/tonne.. not g/tonne!!")... how is it possible that a company like this makes an announcement about "opening it's doors in China" on Dec 19th 2011, then goes from over 2$/share avg since April 2011... and drops over 25% from that (and down nearly 50% from the Mid-October high of 2.60$) to 1.40$ a share for no "obvious reason" ... to which SLI puts out this news about drill results being well.. quite shitty to be honest. I'm not going to write a 3 page essay on how this is a joke, many pumpers defending the poor results saying that they should have trenched and not drilled... sure.. if they "should" have done that then why didn't they? Since this news is likely going to push the share value waaaayyy down and really murder the SLI (It's-a-lie) fairy tale... To me this is a fairly clear indication that the results were well known ahead of the release amongst a group of people. Sure it is possible that the news release was to attempt and clear up and shareholder concern about the wait on drilling results... but I can't see the share value dropping so quickly based on that alone. This is why I don't touch companies trading at 30x NAV.. lot's of speculation built into that price... would love to see their financials for next year. There was a clip on BNN tonight where CLL got a mention, not sure what to make of it really... BNN Video Player I don't think this is anything more than a shameless "hype" attempt but who knows. It's quite the pipe dream that they will get a majority vote to overthrow the current BOD lol. I hate to say this... especially considering the rumors flying around on the boards, but Nexen is the supposed party whom made the offer and it was rejected not so much due to price but the currency in which the exchange was to take place... shares. Again, it's all rumors and speculation.. industry water cooler talk lol But if it comes to be, well then you heard it here first lol. Night my greedy friends ;) |
Appreciate the CLL updates! SU has some solid movement up today. I'd like to get in again because I think if either of the two pipelines is approved it will go up dramatically. Of course the Enbridge debate will be 18 months and just started today. |
