Yes, that's my understanding of it, and today's price drop reflects that

i'm wondering about cuu....great NR, how long might this hype last?

i'd love to sell and get back in on a drop, but if they can release something again soon it will keep going

they're saying they're going to do an updated RE...so i'm assuming they're going to announce that the FS will be delayed again

Most of the time, the market price usually drops to the issue price (actually usually below). But looking at the current market, the likelihood doesn't seem all that high. Hopefully I'm right though, I requested a few hundred shares when the offer was still open on Wednesday.

Having a bitch of a time trying to decide what to buy... this was so much easier back in October when you could have bought anything and made money...

Tempted to get back into AOS... but that could turn into one very long long hold.

From their earlier NR in Dec. They said they were going to focus on releasing the FS first then they would if possible (figuring out the silver results) release the resource estimate. I asked them this at the conference last month. Elmer said once they have the FS, they can always update the RE, it's just math unless they're planning to mine the deposit in another way.

ah ok

maybe i read this wrong or don't quite understand it, but did you see the values they were putting towards the minerals in the report?

gold at $1075.00/oz
copper at $ 2.50/lb
silver at $ 16.10/oz
moly at $ 17.00/lb

those are very low numbers, which obviously makes it way better with todays current prices

this is pretty standard for mining companies to use these long term prices when modelling - one could argue that today's prices are part of a short term bump and that long term they will revert to the above (although gold has no reversionary tendancies as copper does)

NI43-101 NPV and real world value do not go hand in hand, just look at what companies are being bought for vs their 43-101 report NPVs

the baseline feasibility study numbers are always very pessimistic to show the economics of building the mine are viable even without sky high metal prices; if you take today's spot rates into account it will reinforce their decision to green light the project. The problem with most of the present projects is short mine life. If the projects are potentially high grade with long term viability a major would have bought them out already. You're looking at projects with a time horizon of 2-3 years whereas mining companies are already looking at the estimated demand at year 2020 to which they are scouring the world to add to their pipeline.

Kinross is looking very attractive right now as they're having trouble integrating their most recent acquisition. Barrick looks good and speaks to the future demand of copper as you have a gold company paying big bucks for Equinox as their forecasting shows it will be in short supply.

Ross Beatty's Lumina Copper Corp (LCC) has a massive reserve and is a safe bet for a takeout.

IMO, I think it would be a minimum of $3 per share. I've seen insiders and Stifel buying up to the high $2s. The mine itself has a NPV of $2.8 billion back from the 2008 numbers. How much this number is going to be will depend on the FS.... As for that I think it'll ask for a higher premium is because of the Teck option. If it's 75%, they would have to arrange financing on their behalf too (within a time frame too). So all that, I think Teck will pay a good chunk for it.

Don't worry, it was a relatively small position. I took it as a lost, and was going to sell it off
when it was hovering around the $1.0x level. Good thing I held onto it till now.

Not sure if it's a good idea to buy more at the current price, and lower my average price.

That's what happens when you hire the Province of Quebec to build a refinery!

Search for Phil Town.

His ideology is the very basic term an investor should understand first, even though his methods seems a bit too basic.

You analyse value and invest it accordingly, rather than following trends or news.

YNG!!! Up 19% on the day...

Here is the blog post that turned me towards this stock long ago...

Yukon-Nevada Gold Corp – The Drama is About to End | Classic Value Investors

And todays news...

Yukon-Nevada Gold Corp. - News - Mon Feb 6, 2012

They had some rough seas not long ago... but from what I can see... it looks to be very under valued.
