I am going to take a position tomorrow morning live, around $0.40 hopefully, and have another standing offer at $0.35. I am expecting to hold this for a year or two so ultimately a $0.05 swing shouldn't be a make or break, but 10% is 10%...

i'm thinking i'll pick some up tomorrow, i transferred $5k into my TFSA account and will buy YNG with it

jasonturbo 02-09-2012 05:04 AM

Yesterday was not a very good day for my portfolio :( lol

Frick!!! ROG halted again?? Two days in a row???

Iceman-19 02-09-2012 05:29 AM

Well, sold off what I owned in CPT for a nice profit, and am in the process of purchasing just over 4k shares in CLL. I'll have 5k in shares when it's all said and done. Hope the buy out happens!!

So what's the plan for CLL if no buyout materializes? They appear to barely be making any money at all... quarterly results due tomorrow?

Iceman-19 02-09-2012 07:25 AM

No quarterlies are due in march. I'll hang on to it, if no buy out, new CEO and maybe a better direction.

Right, year end as well. Interesting to look at CLL vs YNG as I really don't have a lot of portfolio space for higher-risk opportunities... YNG appears a lot healthier long term bet but doesn't have the chance of a buyout anytime soon resulting in a overnight boost...

I hope you guys waited on CLL... I see it's down to .90

All of my holdings are down :( DG, BNS.TO, POT, CLL.TO

jasonturbo 02-09-2012 08:16 AM

I know the VIX is saying that things are not volatile.. but I am very concerned that there is a lot of vilatility coming :(

CLL takeout is the most likely scenario, and if not in the long term if oil stays up high enough they "should" have no problem turning a profit every quarter... depending on how they decide to finance the expansion at Algar.

I actually sold all of my CLL this morning at .91, the volume was telling me to hold but I felt like it would really be better for me to take my profits ... for now.

I am looking to buy back into CLL and unfortunately it looks as though I may have to buy back in higher (For the second time). CLL has some reserve estimates coming in from Twinning and Penhold, results from the final well tie in at Twinning, Financials, and approval for Algar expansions all due in the very near future.. these are the catalysts for the stock price to get moving again.. and then there is potential buy out offer(s).

Really for CLL I think they need to sell all of their non core assets (And it seems that may be what they are working towards), hang on to the oilsands and refinery, and hope the price of oil stays high..

Scary day for me... also no volume on YNG.. I think a lot of people are hanging out on the sidelines waiting for this damn Greek BS to get sorted out.

Iceman-19 02-09-2012 08:17 AM

Haha I see that, lucky me....

AAPL.... :fulloffuck: better than buying gold at the moment :fullofwin:

TouringTeg 02-09-2012 08:22 AM

Jason: You bought in low so it's understandable you want to take your profits out with there is a big 5% dip like that. I actually bought another 2k shares at .94 when I noticed upward movement. I am going to take partial profits this time if it moves up substantially.

Anyone look into Salazar Resources? I looked into it after Lundin Mining invested $3 million into it. Salazar doesn't have much info in their website but they've proven high grades of copper and silver.
