also interesting to note is that Russia and China are buying up uranium resources all over the world
and most of them are planned to start production in 2013
even UUU.TO is 51% controlled by Russia's Rosatom
It's down to $1.63. I believe the CEO is planning to buy it for $3 a share. He holds about 3 million of its 14.8 million shares. The company has a lot of cash on hand I think $20 million? when the company mkt cap is $24 million lol.
I'm confident that this company will be bought out for $3/share. The CEO will probably able to get a loan and once he takes the company private, he can use the cash from the company to pay it back. Plus, he can always take this company and bring it to public in Hong Kong which would make him even more money.
-just want to comment on the good stock market information available on this thread. Uranium eh? Hmmm. -sounds like a good long term investment.
-definitely will do some due diligence on uranium stocks.

i tried to pick up as much of oil and mining stocks as i could today
also picked up some sub penny stocks for a monday play
so happy with the 52 week barrier BVSN broke today
I bought another 5000 shares today at $0.365, hard to resist at that price. Avg cost is now down to $0.388 including commissions. I don't really know if the price movement today is still as a result of the price of gold fluctuating but regardless I'm still happy to own it, hopefully I'm not eating my words when the financials come out in March and definitely not when the revised NI 43-101 is released in April.

I'm getting raped currently at TD Waterhouse but my new quarter starts in April and from there I will have unlimited trades at a flat $9.99 which will help immensely. I am currently paying $29 for most trades and above that for some larger $$$ amounts. TAG cost me over $60 to buy!

ouch..
hope you opened it as a TFSA account
or are you using a margin account for the new quarter?

im with hsbc and they charge me a flat fee of $6.88 per trade
i opened it as a tfsa so i can skip some tax on capital gains
but they really rape me on exchange rates whenever i buy us stocks
had to open another margin account in us funds to bypass that crap
but it sucks cuz i havent figured out a way to effectively reduce taxes from any gains yet
without having to leave the funds in there for many years
the plus side is i can do swing trades without having to wait for settlement
ouch..

TFSA... I am a TD customer and just wanted to use Waterhouse for ease of integration with the rest of my accounts.
In unrelated news, TAG hit another monster well and currently the SP is relatively unchanged - anybody who has some money sitting around it's a great bet, they have 3 other wells in testing right now and most are bound to flow oil! With production of 4000BOED and 5000 expected before March is over, TAG is very cheap compared to NZ. Regardless I own both.
Spoiler!
VANCOUVER , March 5, 2012 /CNW/ - TAG Oil Ltd. (TSX: TAO and OTCQX: TAOIF), is pleased to report that TAG's Cheal-B7 discovery well has been flow tested and is naturally flowing at an average rate of more than 1,100 barrels of light oil per day plus associated gas. The Cheal-B7 well is located within TAG's 100%-owned Cheal oil and gas field, located in Petroleum Mining Permit 38156 in the Taranaki Basin of New Zealand .
The Cheal-B7 well was drilled to a total depth of approximately 2,100 meters and encountered a total of 18 meters of high-quality oil-and-gas bearing sands within the targeted Urenui and Mt. Messenger Formations, located to the northeast and up-dip of TAG's recent Cheal-B5 oil well discovery.
With the Cheal-B7 well, TAG is currently producing more than 4,000 BOE's per day with light oil contributing approximately 70% to that daily production figure. In addition, TAG has another 3,500 BOE's per day of production, which is drilled and sitting behind pipe awaiting the expansion of the Company's infrastructure, which will allow this "behind pipe" production to be brought onstream.
These production figures do not include any production arising from the successful drilling of the Cheal-B6, Cheal-A9 and Cheal-A10 wells, which are currently being production tested. The Cheal-B6 well encountered 14 meters of oil-and-gas bearing sands within the Urenui and Mt. Messenger Formations while the Cheal-A9 and Cheal-A10 wells encountered 10.5 meters of net pay and 13 meters of net pay respectively within the targeted Urenui Formation.
TAG CEO Garth Johnson commented, "TAG's Taranaki drilling continues to achieve very significant results, which now stands at 14 consecutive successful wells. The Cheal-B6, A9 and A10 wells will be tested over the next few weeks, and with another 10-wells planned in Taranaki this year, along with workovers to certain existing wells, we will continue to build our reserve base and oil and gas production. In order to facilitate the anticipated new oil and gas production, further expansion to the Cheal Production Facility, is now underway, which will ensure that all current and future Cheal wells can be produced concurrently."

I have TD waterhouse too and paid my fair share of >29 bucks per trade. One day I called in and asked nicely if I can get cheaper trades and they set mine to 9.99 forever. I was only a couple thousand short of the 50k threshold though. YMMV?
bvsn hit another 52 week high record of $49
someone dumps a large amount of shares at market price setting <----lol!!!
brings prices down to near $39
now its back up to $46
all this within 30 mins :O
