That would give Apple a $800 billion company.

Just think of the possibilities! I think they will fuck the competing and merge their business with Google's search business.

Buy out an entire country somewhere. Create their own manufacturing of their products. Create an army of their own. Every iphone, ipad, iwhatever, and google search would allow them to be the biggest spy agency in the world.

You then see a cryogenically frozen Steve Jobs come back to life. He is now a cyborg made out of iLIMPS.

Google "Oracle Cloud Services"... it's a highly advanced (one of the most complex in industry as a matter of fact) cloud services targeting corporations.

Back to the topic... IMHO, if they want to succeed in this industry... they have two ways:

1. Get a couple of TOP500 corporations as clients with large scale integration.
2. Get TONS of small companies (I mean as many as humanly possible) who can't afford the solution Oracle or Kronos offer.

That's the only chance they have to bring interest for a buyout.

Time will tell sir

The target customer at this time is not large caps, they are primarily trying to gain market share one client at a time mostly in the retail sales and fast food industries. So far this approach has worked well, espcially considering they have basically relied solely on SEO.

Again, the numbers to date suggest they would see continued growth even without building an outside sales team... and they are in the black every month by a very large margin, the overhead is minimal.

I'm defending them, and that's partially based on the fact that in my personal career, I think I have come to realize that a lot of business owners, small business owners in particular, are not aware a solution like this exists.

But they still don't have my money, and this is all good information for me to be able to ask the questions I need to.. without a doubt, I'm no HR specialist, so this industry and the function of the product are not something I am intimately familiar with.

ON A SIDE NOTE!!!

CLL financials are due right away, after the bell thursday I believe. EDIT: It's actually the Friday 16th after the bell.

I predicted 2011 Q4 that they would post a positive EPS... let's see if I was right :s lol.

Could be a very very volatile day one way or the other.

I think it's generally known in IT that Cloud Computing is a paradigm shift for small businesses. Services that were previously unaffordable and/or required high overhead to maintain can be sourced onto the cloud cheaply and simply.

This gives a quick and dirty overview of the +/- .

Cloud Computing for Small Businesses | Small Business BC

Of course, your friend knows this first hand because he's hosting his service with infrastructure from a cloud provider also, with scalable overhead to boot.

In addition to speaking to HR, also talk to IT because this falls under their domain, assuming any of these small biz guys even have IT. I'm surprised they have so little competition (if what you listed is correct) because, as previously mentioned, this isn't overly difficult software to develop from a technical point of view. It would be interesting to see what their strategy is and where they see themselves fitting into the marketplace.

Yah I saw they moved CLL financials to Friday. It's too bad because we have to wait until Monday for market reaction.

YNG down 5.41% to .35

I don't know if that's a good thing... I always thought that news on Friday evening was bad news that they wanted people to think about over the weekend so they don't immediately murder the share price. Then there's another conference scheduled for Monday AM @ 7am before market open...

It could be the buyout announcement but I think it reeks of something worse than that, it appears the market would agree with me, CLL down to almost $1.00!

YNG is down with the big softening in the price of gold, pretty much every gold stock on my watch list is down 4-6%. I emailed investor relations and in case anybody is wondering, YNG will release their next set of financials on April 2.

LOL..

I think that the there is people on the CLL buyout bandwagon who don't like the risk of what the financials may bring... I kinda expected a bit of a dip before financials.

I also think the financials will be positive, at least when compared to the previous 3 years.

Trouble for CLL is even with a positive EPS of say .01+ for the 4th quarter of 2011 (Which should be indicative for 2012 performance), they have not yet offered any indication as to how they would proceed with financing the construction of the next phase.. which should be CLL's #1 priority... Producing Oilsands lease land is worth umpteen times what the undeveloped land is worth.

Even with a price tag of 400-650 million dollars for the expansion, the increased cash flows from production would be a game changer for CLL, if they can find the right way to finance the expansion... it will be good times for the longs...

Though I still can't see any other way but a buyout, and anything less than 2$ would be robbery.

That's a 60% gain. You should be

I bought the May 565 calls at $30 today and sold at $44 today. My exit point was $580 (for AAPL) or 2nd week of April (based on my own trend analysis). I'm happy with my 45 percent gain in one day. Easy $14K for me.

That's a balls of steel play you did though.

I don't have the guts to play an option that expires in a few days ( this Saturday).

I hate to rub it on you but for your March AAPL 565 calls today:

Last: 25.30 Chg: +18.08 (+250.17%)

They did pull of out their JV when the market prices for bitumen and oil starting going up, and they already dumped a lot of NPA to free up their equity, so they should have something in mind buyout or not. Reading the preliminary from January, it certainly sounds like they did better than Q3 2011. Remember, they still have the GS strategic review. But the sudden shift of the earnings release date had me a little spooked.

Long term signals still points to buyout, but this sudden change kinda threw everyone off.

I think they would be wise to lose the remaining NPA's, and to be honest I'm pretty sure they are only holding penhold/twinning long enough to get the best valuation possible for these assets before they put them up for sale. Other conventional producers in the area are more suited to developing these resources with lower overheads, and will be happy to pick the assets up for a fair price.

The shift from thursday to friday... well... to me it doesn't mean much, I feel as though the writing is already on the wall for these financials... but we shall see.

Goldman Sachs got some negative press today lol Not sure if anyone caught that little outburst.

EDIT: Not sure if anyone noticed, but in the last couple hours CLL has removed the activities for the 19th of March and now only list the 16th for the Earnings Results and has the activity as "all day"...

Odd.

Just curious, what was your reason why you entered on Monday ? Before the stress test, the market looked sideways. Even Apple looked like it would hover 545-50ish; and with a March Option. Balls of steel my dude. Great trade regardless.
