Barkerville's Cow Mountain at 10.62 million oz Au indicated
2012-06-29 13:14 ET - News Release
Mr. Frank Callaghan reports
BARKERVILLE ANNOUNCES A NI 43-101 COMPLIANT INDICATED RESOURCE OF 10,626,100 OZ GOLD
Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd. has released an NI 43-101-compliant indicated resource estimate for the gold quartz open-pit model on Cow Mountain, as well as an NI 43-101-compliant estimation of the geological potential of the 6.4-kilometre Island Mountain, Cow Mountain and Barkerville Mountain trend. This trend is the central portion (where the Company has focused its exploration activities) of a larger 67 km trend on the Company's 1,118 sq. km property.
Geoex Limited ("Geoex") was retained to complete an independent estimate of the mineral resources and geological potential of Barkerville's property (the "Property") by management of the Company.
The indicated resources, between the elevations 3,550 feet and 4,550 feet above sea level (town elevation 4,000 feet), estimated by Geoex for the Gold Quartz open pit model on Cow Mountain are 69,039,000 tons with an average grade of 0.154 ounces gold per ton (5.28 grams/T) and 10,626,100 ounces of contained gold as summarised in the following table. Geoex is of the opinion that this resource has a reasonable prospect of economic extraction. http://www.stockwatch.com/News/Item....l=BGM®ion=C
Glad my RIMM puts worked well for me. I sold early this morning since I thought that RIMM would go higher from its lows b/c the whole market is bullish today. I would have waited until near the end of the session if everything was bear today.
Cll up 25% today. YNG up 13.33% Rim down 20% Fun times

FB Q2 EPS on July 26th after market close; EPS of 0.12 and 1.15 billion revenue expected
question is, do we expect a more than 5% movement on the stock price? if so, a straddle may work if you buy an at the money straddle a couple days before earnings...
could be a worthwhile venture - as we have NO idea what they're going to report or their guidance - i'm sure this could be a spark to a big move up or down

An options play would be dependent on how juiced the premiums are and their implied move, so tough to say as we are still far away from the report. Just my rough guess, but they'll be juiced and the reaction in either direction will be relatively big.
Yikes well I fucked myself over very nicely with TVIX
So now I have two choices, hang on to TVIX and wait.. for god knows how long.. or eat the loses and get back into something commodity based and wait for the sector to recover...
I am very bullish on YNG, and have considered moving the 80k I have tied up in TVIX into them... mind you it's not 80k anymore lol more like 50k.
So does the rally continue? IMO the fundementals just aren't there to support a long term rally, I think the leading indicators have been mixed lately, but mostly negative in the sense that we are clearly seeing growth slow down.. so is it a slow down or a gradual move to a contraction?
These mixed feelings in the market is what leads me to have a lot of interest in gold producers, I don't feel that gold itself is under valued but I do believe many of the miners are.. YNG is priced as a JR right now and it's anything but... but getting into the land of such limited diversity is of course, rather risky.
I took a risky risk on TVIX against the Greek election and the Eurozone.. it didn't work out.. mehhh. Maybe next time

Well there is a lot of truth to that statement, chances are I will be getting out of TVIX monday, and moving that money into YNG, SU, and TLM. Back to the land of the long term.
I did some math this morning and discovered that I will still basically be breaking even on TVIX with all the times I bought and sold it... so at least it gave me something to do during the day lol.

TVIX is meant to be an intraday play (scalps), at most am overnighter.
Read back a few pages and you will see I am well aware of this.
Bought into it a couple days before greek election epecting volatility to spike before those greasy Europeans hit the ballots, the opposite happened. Got caught "holding the bag" and figured since I was already so close to the all time low price of TVIX, I might as well just hang tight for a bit...
Like I said, took a risk and didn't work out.

I don't trust this rally. I am looking at buying TVIX again at the first sign of Euro trouble. Otherwise I am going to sit in cash for a bit.
