3. Profit ???

Everyone learns the hard way to take profits. I was up 450% once and wanted 1000% in 2009. lol.

if u dont know what you're doing, don't do it!!!
this is real money you could lose - no website will help, you need to learn how to invest, what you want to attain, how you want to invest

NismoNX 10-01-2012 10:02 AM

I don't fully know what I'm doing, but doesn't mean I'll stop here
Hence why id like to ask for some books to improve myself
Not asking for a website to get tips for, only good coverage for financial news that's all

Thanks

Try to buy some textbooks second hand. There's a course most financial professionals take, but the textbooks are a great read for a private investor.

Canadian Securities Course. Textbooks Volume I & II, plus the workbook (which you don't really need, as you aren't going to take the exam). I picked them up for $60 or less, probably from Craigslist.

For steady long term growth/income/diversification etc, what are the thoughts on purchasing DIA (tracks DJI) and XIU (tracks S&P/TSX)?

If by income you mean div then no cause there aren't any.

Something to look at in the attachment (sorry I don't know how to embed) edit: nevermind apparently i do know how
That's the mini S&P (I tried using min dows but the lower vol doesn't look as good on the chart)
But you'll see an Andrew's Pitchfork and this level looks good to me.

i can vouch for e-mini SP500.

super flexible. great for day traders, swing traders, whatever trader you are. short term, long term. scalpers.

super duper high volume/open interest. open almost 24/5.

For sure. My earlier recommendation for long DIA, XIU and SPY is so busted. I've bailed, hope no one listened

Hey guys im wondering if anyone is going to invest in RIM, in the coming months or have already acquired stocks. Im new to stock trading, but im willing to roll the dice and am prob going to invest anywhere from 15-30 thousand. For those who havent invested in RIM yet, when are you planning 2 and why? Im thinking of investing late NOV to mid DEC, due to fourth quarter sales and christmas time(hopefully it dips 2 low 7s to high 6s), and what stupid analyst have to say. Anyways give me ur thoughts.

Does anyone have thoughts on AC.B? Got in around 1$ ...was considering getting in when it was around .80 . Some are calling for it to go to 2-3bux.

Which one will you choose ? Would you choose RIMM ?
