Tis the season for gambling, obviously I have a fairly high tolerance for risk since I have all this money and no real ambition to do anything with my life...

So having said that, I'm thinking about tossing another 65k into AMRN... what the hell, how much lower can it go? lol Downside risk seems rather low to me, potential upside very high.

Imagine if this week a decision finally gets made on NCE status, and monday AM a deal is announced, I know this sounds like fantasy, but I really think something smells fishy about them hiring 250-300 sales people, they may have claimed to be doing it, but if there is anything even rometly close to an acceptable offer on the table, why would they put 250-300 people in the position of quiting jobs with other employers, only to be forced to lay them off within days or weeks after aquisition.

Just saying... it's interesting to me that this stock can be trading where it is considering it was much higher before the FDA even made its decision on whether or not the drug would be approved. Crazy investors.. I tell ya.

Think positive, if this works out I will take everyone in this thread out to Costco for $1.59 hotdog and pop.

Edit: Done deal, now holding 15000 shares, somwhere around 10$/share. Pray for me

My track record:

CLL = WIN!
YNG(VG) = Win! then Flat!
NZ = Lose!
AOS = Flat
TVIX = Win! then EPIC FAIL!
AMRN = ?????

The point is, I am probably going to lose everything.

Back in June I was holding 10k Shares of TVIX around 10$, then it tanked to 7$.. and I was like $&%&!!!! Decided to sell and eat the loss, looking back, I am very happy I did that,.. seeing as TVIX is now in penny stock territory lol But it was good fun while it lasted.

Losing 30k in a matter of days was pretty geh.

RIM, at 13.12 on tsx! . Was at 7.60 late sept, and in the mid-low 8 range up until mid Nov and has been steadily rising ever since. Everyone who has shorted the stock, is shitting bricks right now.

unless you have gotten out with a profit, i would not be tempting fate.

RIM is an extremely volatile stock and could easily be $10 tomorrow and just a slight piece of news - RIM's beta must be through the roof

just know that you are holding a higher risk stock, thus you should be expecting higher return to compensate for that

i still wouldn't touch RIM as i don't believe in the product - at $7 it was worth it as a spec play as the downside was relatively protected, at near double that, too much risk for this investor (read: not trader)

If youve been following the stock, analyst bashing and negative news no longer effects the stock price anymore. Yesterday is was reported that they were getting sued for bluetooth infringment and the stock rose 1.10 in the course of 2 days. I believe in Rim, and am holding this stock over the course of 2013.

probably a minor thing, the bluetooth infringement

if it were, maybe you've found a magic stock that will always go up - you've found the golden ticket!!
