weeks like these are what mess up my strategy. when you see this much green for so long you can't help but get that ego pumped up.

like when a stripper calls you 'big boi'...you know it isn't real but you appreciate it anyway.

I think it may be a smart investment, but I only see more de-regulation in the future. That means more companies will be able to get in on the action, driving the profit margin down for everyone who is already in the business, therefore dropping their earnings and share prices

Lot of these marijuana stocks are perceived/getting hype as potential players in the medical marijuana industry, but you should dig into their financials/the company background itself and see what if any role/possibility/potential they have in the medical marijuana industry, also, be extra careful with OTCBB/pink stocks as they are sketchy (i.e. pump/dump and hype attributed to main stream media and resultant everyday Joes buying anything with marijuana/cannabis in their name)

no emotions. just flap.

never have my p&l window visible, only look at it when trades closed or market closes :fullofwin: ... would be surprised on how much better this small mind hack helps!!

Sierra Wireless (T.SW) has gone up 38% in the past month.

Sierra Wireless Inc ( T.SW ) stock quote and company overview - Stockhouse

Time to do more due diligence on this company. Has anyone bought its stock?

I bought 10k shares of PLUG @7$ last wednesday I think? Got stopped out today @ 10.45$... #easymoney

I am expecting a sell off before ER, will consider getting in again between the ER and corresponding CC depending on what happens.

I want to be bullish with the FC sector, but will always be setting stops along the way and never holding over events etc.

Still holding AMRN like an ex wife.... one day, one day, that will pay off lol

Klobbersaurus 03-10-2014 01:48 PM

i think fuel cells will be a good one, but BLDP would be a safer bet than PLUG because ballard makes the fuel cells, without ballard, there wouldnt be a fuel cell

volkswagen signed a deal with them and i believe hyundai is gonna release a fuel cell vehicle next year as well

im still holding onto PVCT, waiting for that BTD application, researchers from MD anderson and Moffit said their results were better than what PVCT found

Do you guys think the canadian dollar is going to drop more its at 0.8899 right now. Reports are saying down to 87cents

Ulic Qel-Droma 03-19-2014 01:20 PM

don't fight the trend. that's all i gotta say.

i think it'll go to 85 before it hits real resistance. and then it could go lower more.

Just curious where most of guys get your investment ideas/picks from?

Carl Johnson 03-24-2014 04:05 PM

I've been reading motley fool for a long time. they are a pretty good place to start to generate ideas. the nitty gritty fundamental analysis obviously is up to yourself but they give you a general picture of a company/sector to help you started.

Stockhouse has some good stuffs too but lots of garbage to cut through.

Maybe I am stating the obvious here, stockhouse/stocktwits/ihub/etc might be decent places to get ideas, but I would never trade on the advice of those on those boards.

Step 1: Get idea
Step 2: Look at technicals
Step 3: Look at fundamentals
Step 4: Look at options
Step 5: Decide on entry/exit
Step 6: Execute

Or alternatively you can follow this model;

Step 1: Buy AMRN
Step 2: Baghold

All I'm really saying is that (understand I don't know you or where you are at with investments), it's very important to understand fundamentals/technicals/options before buying anything.

As I grow older/wiser it becomes more and more clear to me that trading on technicals alone is the way to go, there is people with bots setup to trade technicals who make piles of cash.

My .02 anyway.
