Buying in hopes of a buyout ? If so, you're too late; would not IMHO.

ilovebacon 01-14-2015 10:11 PM

Why is it too late? It's currently still at 12$ a share and hoping when Samsung buys it out it might rise no?

Sorry, but do you have any previous trading experience? Or are you jumping in the wagon just cause you heard on the radio about Samsung's intend to purchase Blackberry? Do you know how many BBRY buyout rumours there had been over the past year alone? At $12/share, how much were you thinking of 'investing'?

If I were you, I would take that $$ and go to the casino instead.

BlackBerry, Samsung deny takeover report

BlackBerry stock jumps 29% on report of Samsung approach

hchang 01-15-2015 11:45 AM

Blackberry at 15 yesterday

They still got patents that people want and their new CEO is good but I don't know if their market penetration is ever gonna come back to a good percentage

Binary Options Trading - Get Into The Market with Opteck!

sorry if this is the wrong thread to post this in. Has anyone heard of opteck? I have been trying to get into stocks for the longest time, and I am working on a minor in econ+ have read a lot of stuff on investopedia so I think i might be ready. Anyways onto my question, have you guys heard of opteck? My friend told me about it and looking online, the reviews seem to be quite good. For anyone who has heard of it, would you recommend it for a complete beginner? Thanks!

binary options is legit gambling and is not regulated I believe....

Don't Gamble On Binary Options - Forbes

Heres a nice article :concentrate:

If you want to get into options just read a few books, you don't need a large capital for options vs stocks

Alright dumb dumbs that wonder why they can't make money... watch this:

remember cramer ran a hedge fund.
he was trained by goldman sachs.

then buy the book: the art of war by sun tzu
every trick in the book is used by every great general. including the hedge funds and institutions.

the markets are modern war. it is the modern battlefield.
war is all about deceit and manipulation.

fundamentals don't matter, unless it's insider info.

The charts show everything that's happening.

Did anyone else end up looking into ZEO? I mentioned it on the last page, last post Jan 8th - I've made quite a bit on it as of the last few days!

Volatility isn't always your friend :)

Take a look at GPRO today, what a messed up release...

This one was even more worst - OTCMKTS:GEVI

There is 2 ways you can play.... up down... maybe left.. maybe right?

Different investors prefer different risk.

For me I rather have a couple big wins then small 5% gains.

I'm currently using the TD platform because of the ease of use since I bank with them already. However, I am looking at other options such as Questrade or Interactive Brokers. Now is there any good benefits in choosing these brokers rather than going through your bank?

From doing a little reading, seems that most people really like IB. I'm not really an active trader but more of a buy and hold depending on the profit percentage relative to the time. But I am planning on trading options in the future and I read that IB blows questrade out of the water when it comes to that. Any advice?

RickyTan3 02-09-2015 05:45 PM

I love the td think or swim software and app.
ib is not friendly to noobs at all. Try talking to their customer service.

The fees are pretty competitive everywhere now
.
I love the ease of taking money out instantly with Canadian bank.

The only downside is a trade a lot of options and ib had a lower rate for contracts. I think it's 10 cents per vs td.

However most beginners don't trade options.

Jegz 02-10-2015 01:32 PM

I'm still a beginner.. Guess I'll have to test Questrade out lol

if your just beginning just go with a canadian bank, cibc, td, rbc, scotia bank etc etc

pulling money in and out is way easier... your not going to be doing a lot of trades anyways so fees shouldnt matter to you

FYI, TD's giving up to 200 trades for free:
TD Direct Investing is giving investors free trades, and covering the transfer fees, when they open a new TD Direct Investing Account.

Also, read a lot of poor user feedback regarding Questrade. So not really worth the trouble just to save a few dollars a trade.

Tesla getting a beating. Love it :)

Fingers crossed it tanks like a mother fucker

Jegz 02-11-2015 06:50 PM
