AMD plummets like 25% on hitting target, but missing investors expectations.

NVDA goes up 17% on surprise beat (although it helped AMD go up 5% AH).

I'm in AMD at 13.50 average still holding. Only had 1 month of ryzen 7 sales and none of ryzen 5. Hoping their new vega graphics card is good. New products coming out this year including ones for server market. Might just add at this price.

From what I've been reading, I think Vega might disappoint. But if it can match even 90% of the 1080TI at a lower cost, then AMD can see some nice cash flow for Q3 since they currently have nothing competing at that end.

Q2 should be manageable, but Q3 is going to be the make it or break it for AMD. Full quarter of Ryzen, Naples, and Vegas. Anything less than a beat is going to be another huge drop.

I only have a minor stake in AMD now, I'm all aboard that SHOP. Hoping Amazon buys SHOP within the next year or two.

:fuckyea:

EDIT: Ouch, SNAP down 23% AH. Feels bad for those that actually think it was worth buying.

Nice, SHOP had a pretty good run. Also check out BZUN, it's like the SHOP version in China. It's up quite a lot right now (from$15 to high 19 in ~ 1 month), I'm waiting for a dip before getting back in.

I think the problem with SNAP is that there is FB and it doesn't really have anything special to offer that's not available/can be replicated by FB.

Weibo. Baozun, and Sina all posted +15% today

Alibaba next on Thursday?

Bzun was up ~15-20% today (may 16). Met ER after hours and price down ~12% after hours :rukidding:

:heckno:

I thought the ER was before open.

threezero 05-17-2017 10:03 PM

SNAP is a complete pump and dump. look how much the CEO got pay out and all the initial investor basically just cashing out…..

its a good buy if you are one of the above

Razor Ramon HG 05-17-2017 10:37 PM

My cousin bought in after the ER crash and cashed out for some quick profit. He told me about it, but I thought it was going to dip even further.

On another note, markets were horrible today.

JDMStyo 06-19-2017 02:08 PM

Picked up some Artizia few months ago on the dips. $15/share seem reasonable for growth but neglected to see the Hill family ownership and voting structure.

ATZ. any thoughts?

Spoon 06-19-2017 03:30 PM

IMO, their financials look good. Thought they would go higher into the $16s when they released their earnings last month. But then a slew of bad news comes out for bricks and mortar and people start avoiding them like toxic waste. Cashed out for similar reasons with a small profit.

Hehe 06-20-2017 05:03 PM

Anyone here long on TSLA?

I got in around 230 earlier in the year. With recent China news, not sure to keep long or just sell for profit

SiRV 06-20-2017 05:46 PM

Got in long at 190 about a year ago!
Woopwoop

xjc11 06-28-2017 10:06 PM

Anybody in MU?
Earnings tomorrow. Hoping they post some good earnings to try and help lift the tech sector up
