I wanna see what trading is like during a bear market. Anyone can trade during a bull market.

I'm having issues to log in to the rbc mobile direct investment thing. I only used the website and not the mobile app. How do I log into that?or do I have to register the direct investment for mobiling banking too

The app is terrible, just stick to the website for now.

I got out of EMH. Gave up on waiting it out. About $3.7K in losses. But I had about $3K in gains (with 1/5 of the investment) with Canopy.

Net loss was about $700. Not too bad.

What are some trading strategies you guys employ in bear markets?

Any industries or types of companies you look into?

I never really traded. I mainly used index funds and casually held some long-term individual stocks. But during a bear market I'd imagine you'd look for value companies. So companies who have low p/e.

for long term traders (months/years holding), buy diversified index funds in bull markets. in bear markets buy index funds that short the market. if you have higher risk tolerance grab the 2x or even 3x leveraged funds. use simple trend following strategies. if you're more into trying to be ahead of the curve rather than reacting to price action, look into william o'neils CANSLIM method for fundamental analysis. do not do the stupid buy/hold/pray forever buffet method. if you google stock market cycle, look at the pics, you can get an idea of which sectors precede stages of movement usually.

for short term traders(days/weeks), whole diff ball game. we short runners in bull markets, and buy bounces in bear markets.

also since its about that time of year, realize any losses you have now to write off on taxes and get back into those positions later (30days minimum to write off). no point in just letting it sit and get no benefit.

My gut was right

Took pretty solid profits on NTAR today... Really wish FFT was seeing similar momentum but unfortunately i'm down quite a bit with them now.

Also took a small position on APH at $6.15. First time holding Aphria since I started investing in the industry... guess i'll have to wait and see wtf happens.

Loaded up on more APHA at 5.45. My average is now in the 10s thanks to this short seller.

Massive gap up for the entire market today.

I don’t hold CRON but everything else is up. Glad I bought more APHA too.

Cron is jumping today which is good to see since all major stocks like aphria and aurora need to bounce back ..

I was surprised ACB didn't go up higher than it did with the Mexico deal. Maybe I'm missing something? Seems pretty significant.

Needs a bigger deal then that. Like coca cola or big pharma

i picked up some ACB at 7.60 then 7.29 thinking it was a good deal before it tanked last week. definitely pissed when it kept dropping...oh well all good now
