Add GE (general electric) to your watch list fellas. This sale happens once a decade.

I'm just holding onto everything I have in the green world. Tanked to the point where no point to even sell to cut my losses lol.

What do you think needs to happen for GE's price to rebound?

I'm trying to figure out what it's got going for it, other than selling off parts of its businesses.

the weed sector rush is over, if you did not make money by now, you will not make any. just like the crypto rush came and went. same deal. next round for weed will be when the states legalize it.

just wait it out for now, that 20% might be 40% off in coming months. wait for a trend to start again before jumping back in.
it's very possible this was just a tax sell off, or start of the bear market or just a correction before we continue the bull trend. just be patient. let the price direction tell you whats happening and piggyback on it once the momentum starts.

i made a bunch switching short and sitting in cash now because of the volatility/uncertainty of the market. cash is a position, don't feel the need to always be in.

also never average down. this is one of the biggest mistakes people make "investing". cut your losses, admit you were wrong and move on to the next "investment" before they overwhelm you.

The thing about weed stocks right now with Canadian companies is they still can't keep up with demand...and mom & pop shops are just finally getting their stores up vs online only from the government

with people wanting to remain somewhat anonymous and not having it on their credit card paying cash at the stores.....you think the stock would somewhat make a gain with these new shops up and running moving more of their product for 2019 or nah???

and what happens with the black market store fronts?...once there is more & more legal shops opening they might be forced by the Law to shut down because their product may pose a health issue or what new law our government can make to stop blood suckers from their profit.....what else?....oh yeah...Tourists coming to BC for our nature and legal pot, that hasn't even started yet and might be a nice little Bonus for summer 2019

i hate Apples pricing.. on their products not stock..

Apple has been the backbone of my portfolio since i started doing my own investing, but when they released those new iphones i was kinda like what in the actual fuck.. multiple models of your phones going for over $2000?

My wife recently purchased a macbook air as well, albeit the best possible model you can buy (256GB SSD, upgraded ram, Applecare+ etc.) however, it still came to over $2700..

that means your top end Macbook pros are going for like 4 fucking thousand dollars..

their pricing is simply fucked.. regardless of the product, which ive always supported, i feel like their grasp on the market is slipping simply due to pricing

Actually just bought some as my first stocks. Been buying ETFs as of recently but decided to just move my USD into my TFSA and use that to buy some stocks.

Their prices are outrageous and it sucks, I can get by with a windows machine but I'm just more productive on OSX. It's gonna suck when my pro dies and I have to spend 4k on a laptop lol. But isn't that also due to our weak dollar?

What are some other stocks that isn't weed that you guys are investing in?

If you walk into a lecture hall. I'd say almost 75% of laptops are macs. Seems like ppl want it more as a brand than a good value laptop.

Broke students aren’t good return-customers though.

My point is, I just don’t know who they are targeting anymore. I myself am relatively financially stable, I have no problem wasting money on stupid shit if I get it in my head that I want it. I’ve also been upgrading my phone every generation since the 3 with the 3/4/6/7+

But when I was going to have to pay $2300 to get the XS Max I wanted, I pretty much didn’t due to nothing else but principle. I get that it’s sontbing I use non-stop every day, but $2300 is crazy.

Especially when Huawei has their P20 Pro (not like I’d buy it mind you) which is the competition for half the price?

Been playing around with the commission free trades on wealthsimple trade. Its just play money so I don't mess around with my actual investments but its nice to be able to buy one share of a company without paying commissions.

I don't get what the hype is all about weed stocks.

Since Nov/Dec all the blue chip stocks were on sale! Was legit free money..

Has anyone ever had success getting a TD Ameritrade TOS? The Portfolio Margin sounds juicy as hell.
