tesla is a fcking beast IMO

Got into TSLA between yesterday and today. So, take my comments with a grain of salt and full disclosure

Got 60 yesterday and another 40 today on an average cost of 183.xx. Depending on what happens the next month prior to their Q2 results, I might buy some more.

IMO, the cashflow issue is concerning, but it doesn't overshadow all the things Tesla is doing to pave way to become a dominant transportation player. And as long as the market still show appetite for Tesla's stock/bond offering and traditional automakers continue to buy Tesla's clean credit, this issue is not that big of a concern.

The Gigafactory 3 is going to push the volume and cost needed for lower income countries.

Tesla is focusing on the robotaxi business although they aren't saying it out loud yet. But if you take a look at what Tesla is going, it's not difficult to see some hints.

Full Self Driving: duh... the very fundamental of that business model. And I think Tesla is far ahead of everyone else as far as data (which is the most important thing really) and hw are concerned.

Scale: Model 3 is the best selling EV on most major markets and I believe the trend to continue until traditional automakers catch up in efficiency. This will put Tesla in a great position to start offering robotaxis. As a matter of fact, I don't see anyone else coming close scale-wise without major capital expenditure.

Last but not least... or dare I say I saved the best for last, Tesla insurance: this is clearly the way to go in order to push robotaxis on the road. Without this, Tesla will have to rely on all major insurance companies to come up with their own version of insurance for robotaxi before it can take shape. I think Elon Musk knows this as a major obstacle in his vision and hence he started working on this without raising too much attention (hence the potential competition from traditional insurers) while fine-tuning this into not only a tool to put robotaxis on road, but also another source of income for Tesla.

Is there an overall consensus that marijuana stocks were pumped up and this is a correction or bad news in the industry? haven't been able to follow much

thoughts they'll be dropping further or opportunity to buy?

MJ stocks are now done pretty much in my opinion unless you are long on them. It is still a long shot.

The best time for MJ stocks was before legalization, they were going crazy. I made some great coin day trading on them the few months before legalization.

I still have a small amount in MJ stocks. All of it in APHA.

Not expecting it to move much over the course of the next little while.

Not sure if anyone noticed but gold is about to hit all time high in CAD again. Think about 2011 it hit 1883. It's about 1860 now. With the volatility in the market seems gonna go up more thanks to Trump.

TypeRNammer 08-02-2019 06:54 PM

Didn't see that one coming.

APHA jumped up 40% today

People are expecting a recession. I'm hearing bankers say stuff like, buy gold, or as soon as recession hits, buy mutual funds.

Canntrust took everyone down. If all things remain equal, legalization 2.0 should see a steady rise.

nabs 08-06-2019 02:40 PM

Yupp, there were a few micro crashes I believe it was closer to the end of last year. Trends are showing an expected recession.

for those of you better a tune to the market, have you mostly sold out and holding cash?

those of you who haven't and are seeing previously profits negated or are seeing losses?

I'm down $15k in the past 2 weeks but I'm a passive investor. I don't trade. Doesn't matter if the market goes up, down, left or right.. I still get paid every month. I setup everything to drip now so I don't even have to log on to reinvest the dividends. Now that prices are down, my dividends are actually buying more shares at the lower price. I'll be even better off when things go back to normal.

I've learned to ignore the bumpy ride and stay the course.

yeah that makes sense but you can also just buy back in at the lows and do the same, especially if long term trend reverses

SiRV 09-24-2019 08:32 AM

Holy crap anyone see what happened to MJ stocks the last few weeks? Good time to buy or is the industry finally going to shit?

nabs 09-24-2019 08:36 AM

^^^ good time to buy and sell was before legalization. Now the market is normalizing. You're not going to see much in terms of positive spikes.

blkgsr 09-24-2019 11:12 AM

but it was after legalization that we saw the drop and jump...unfortunately myself like many others weren't smart enough to sell off and are now paying the price

nabs 09-24-2019 11:46 AM

Yeah, you had to be day trading in order to make money from it. (in my experience)

SiRV 09-24-2019 12:08 PM

People are also looking towards October for some other kind of legalization? Edibles/Vapes?

blkgsr 09-26-2019 06:15 AM

i sure hope something pushes them back up
