Flipped BB a bunch, hoping to get back in.

Looks like this asset bubble/circus will keep going until something sets it off. Until then, you're definitely better off buying stocks/homes that beat the current inflation.

Thoughts on Bitf? I only scanned it a bit, but backed with 98% renewable energy mining, that could differentiate it from others.
Update as well.

Sold out of SCR when it got bought out.

Back in BB.TO - IVY beta should be released and hype train should begin

Still holding PYR.TO: Will keep hoarding, as the story still remains the same. Plasma torches, possibly replacing diesel burners in the industry.

Might go in CP.TO

Things on my current watchlist:

* AGC is merging into Grab sometime in October/November. Grab is a beast in SEA with ride-hailing, food delivery, and digital payments in over a dozen countries. Expected to be profitable in 2023 and a questionable $40 billion valuation, but who really cares about that in a growth company?

* PPGH is merging into Gogoro sometime early next year. They pretty much dominate the entire electric scooter market in Taiwan and have a pretty cool battery swapping network that is subscription based. Recent partnerships with companies in India and China. One partnership in China is with Yadea, which I believe is one of the top electric scooter manufacturers over there - maybe someone else can confirm.

Bit of a panic attack looking at the market today. I haven't been paying attention to the situation in China & Evergrande

LCID had a major leg up today...hit a peak of 39.78 (started the day at 28.54). Currently trading around $35.

Deliveries of their Dream vehicle start on Saturday.

Anyone else in since CCIV?

Markets are tanking, tech is going through sell offs. Some are predicting that the worst won't hit until this spring for certain assets.

I've got my new TFSA contribution room and most things seem risky ATM. Thoughts on safe investments into 2022? Canadian banks? Energy?

SMH just topped off my TFSA and RRSP late last week.

I put some into XEG (Canada Energy) that I didn't traditionally do. I just know my clean energy ETF is shitting the bed so assumed that non-clean energy would benefit from it.

For Canadian Banks I invested in XFN at the beginning of COVID and had some great gains, however they are at an all-time-high right now and so not sure if there's more room.

Yah, I am a bit nervous on Canadian banks and financials since there may not be much more room for growth. But interest rates likely going up, isn't that positive for the banking sector?

I was thinking ZEB - the BMO fund that provides equal weighting to the top banks.

ZEB is a winner if you don't want to buy an individual banks and just one etf to include them all.

Not 'sexy' but steady ... you'll be able to sleep at nights. This is Wealthy Barber kind of long term stable investment.

I have xx,xxx$ with a company group RRSP (pi financial / ci investments)
Over the past 6 years, it's been an average of 2.3% return

Where would you transfer this for better returns? Company wise.

I'm not interested in self gambling on my RBC investment account, I'm guaranteed to buy shit pink slips and risky stonks. I have two grand in there with play money, and 80% of it is in the red lol..... minus the MVIS pump and dump that I cashed in.

If you just want a set it and forget it, low maintenance ETF, I would look at Vanguard's asset allocation ETFs: https://www.vanguard.ca/en/investor/...llocation-etfs

basically an all-in-one ETF allocated based on your risk tolerance.

Even your mattress might be better. Inflation was >4%. Seriously, 85% in Canadian bank stock. 15% in crypto ETF.

2.3% return average? lol how is that possible?

Just buy VFV. That's the canadian version of the S&P 500.
You're buying the top 500 companies in the world. There's is nothing safer than that.

edit; If I were you, I wouldn't be buying any individual companies until you figure out how to read a financial statement. If you don't want to learn, then stick with ETFs. The S&P returned ~30% last year. Hard to beat that.

Anyone in TSLA?

Their financials are coming out next week and they're going to be MASSIVE.

I'm such a hyper TSLA bull, it's crazy. My portfolio is probably 75% TSLA.
