Good combo. I do think a "package" will be done over the weekend. Is $700 Billion or not, I don't know. I am guessing FED will get at least $350 Billion to start.
I added AAPL right now, $128.11.
JPM is a good long term play. They got Bear Sterns and Washington Mutual cheap!
If the package goes through, MA might pop $30-40 right away. We will see at least 2 days rally since most investors are sitting on the sideline right now!

Fingers crossed. Well at least I can collect dividend next week on JPM and MA. RIMM dropping is actually good news for AAPL, as long as Jobs stay alive AAPL is good for 120ish
Also have some GG and AUY calls that's OoM right now, but I plan on exercising them in 2 weeks if I don't lose too much on them (if, knock on wood).

Good buy. I could have bought more, but I can't risk that much money on betting the package will come through. There's always a chance that evil Bush and his people screw things up. But the chance is pretty good.
Package done over the weekend = huge rally on Monday and Tuesday.

That's about as good as LEH analyst saying FNM had enough capital and didnt need bailing out, a week before the Gov't bailout

does anyone see the flaw in this bailout, if the bail out fails, the gov't wants insurance for the tax payers so they wont foot the bill but arent the insurance companies going down? i dont see any logic in that

insurance companies will be the least of their worries.
plus the whole insurance thing is "in case this happens", so the probability of it failing is not as significant.
