not gonna trade till new year, I am just tired and the volumn is tooooo low for my liking anywayz.

good hunting

Butcha 12-29-2008 04:40 PM

Volume will probably be low all the way into new years.
I loaded up some 33.00 calls in USO on today's pullback.
Had good volume and price action on that upside yesterday and today in the afternoon.
Conflict should make it go higher for another few days.
Lets run this baby up!

Hollyshiit 12-31-2008 12:16 PM

nice butcha...
should show me some ropes towards options trading...
thx

Butcha 12-31-2008 01:44 PM

Before trading options you need to be very comfortable with TA.
I would recommend buying some books about trading techniques and market behaviour before you get started.
Be familiar with multiple time-frames and know when to take your losses and profits because options move extremely fast.
Use paper money and try it out first.
You'll also need to setup a margin account if you don't have one.
Be prepared to lose some money when you first start out...I got called out a few times on margin when I first started.:haha:

goo3 01-02-2009 12:42 AM

^ what platform/tools/brokerage are you using for your options and charting?

Butcha 01-02-2009 08:30 AM

I use quotetracker and bigcharts for TA analysis and quotes etc.
There are better software programs available but they cost money.
I prefer stuff for free.:)

that's why I stopped margin

"Mr. L, it appears that your account needs to be properly maintained" is a fucking scary sentence.

Worse that the latex, the "I think I am late" text

:haha:

Jackwimmer 01-06-2009 09:28 PM

tomorrow is gonna be a bad day for american banks

Butcha 01-07-2009 07:50 AM

I would be very careful if you are short.
Market seems like it wants to rally everyday.
Doesn't make sense with all the bad economic data but you gotta go with the trend.
I guess they are all praying Obama and his stimulus will save the economy.:haha:

Ulic Qel-Droma 01-07-2009 10:38 AM

yawn, wake up late, short crude, go brush my teeth, shower, come back i potentially have made enough to cover my monthly expenses, lower my stop, go eat lunch. done.

Scoobysnax 01-07-2009 11:13 AM

^ Saw that one coming when crude retracted from 50.. thank you DTO..
