FAZ has been treating me very well. Got in today at $60.15 and out at $66.66. Should've held long again when i jumped in 66.03 before taking a small loss at 65.00. Oh well, still a good day!

TRDood 02-19-2009 10:21 PM

^^^

your story makes me jealous

wouwou 02-20-2009 08:10 AM

seriously, dont touch either of them before we know more on the C/BAC nationaliztion.

Personally I dont think its gonna happen, but the shorts are riding the speculation hard

SiRV 02-20-2009 10:48 AM

tossing in another noob question.
But what happens to the stock value of BAC if it does become nationalized? does that mean we can't buy stocks of it anymore? and if so.. waht happens to the existing owners of the stock?

all4one4u 02-20-2009 11:41 AM

I believe all the common shares would be wiped. But nationalization probably won't happen.

Is anyone here owning FAS or FAZ??
What do you think the market will do next week?

Scudz 02-20-2009 08:13 PM

Bought FAZ at 80.95 and sold at 80.63. It blew past my stops. =( It did hit a high of 86 but I was sleeping then. :D

However, FAS gave me some lovin'. I bought at 4.70 and sold half at 5.05 and the other half at 4.89. Covered my original loss and then a nice handsome payout!

TRDood 02-20-2009 09:14 PM

okay, so if C and BAC gets nationalized.. FAS and FAZ will still be around correct?

in what circumstance that FAS and FAZ will be off the index?
fuck this is scary shit.

If anyone can correct me if I'm wrong, I believe it is when all the banks they have vested interest in are wiped out and they didn't add any other banks to replace the lost ones.

Of course not.. people around the world will lose LOTS of money if nationalization occurs. Everyone will be taking a big hit in their RRSP/Mutual Funds investments.

Nationalization will save banks, but will kill all of us for sure. It will cause much BIGGER problems than banks going bankrupt.

Carl Johnson 02-22-2009 09:16 AM

Bac @ $2.5
C @ $1.5

lol a starbucks coffee cost more than both companies' share

McDick 02-22-2009 05:15 PM

any idea what is the market going to be like next week?
I am thinking to get some FAZ soon.

1.7El_guy 02-22-2009 06:09 PM

yesterday i felt that c and bac would probably go back up with the white house comment on nationalization...

but just now the government wants to hold as much as 40% stake in C...now im having doubts. Its totally going to be volatile on monday and everyday of the week.

fas and faz so dangerous yet so awarding to be on the right side of the momentum.

hmm does that mean that if I had shares in BAC they would all amount to ZERO?! .. i was planning on buying some if they dropped to like.. 2 bucks

wouwou 02-22-2009 06:52 PM

^not complete ZERO,

probably dozens of cents. FNM was close to 3 or 4 dollars before the takeover

it dropped to 0.5 after the news

wouwou 02-22-2009 06:57 PM

seriously this American shit is getting way too socialism for me, I am betting on Gold now

Jacka 02-23-2009 05:09 PM

wouwou, what GOLD are you going for? :)

wouwou 02-23-2009 05:23 PM

igt and abx

both .to

McDick 02-23-2009 05:57 PM

I think DOW will hit below 7000 and a quick bounce right afterward.

Carl Johnson 02-23-2009 06:13 PM

all the experts have being calling the bottom since this thing started back in september has been proven wrong. maybe 7000? why not 6500 or even 6000?
