how bad can the economy go? I think we are really near the bottom. Just waiting for GM to go bankrupt.

wouwou 02-23-2009 07:58 PM

^Well if GM goes puff, the shorts will have a field day so I say the bottom will be 6800 if that

otherwise we are pretty close. I am actually surprised that today dropped 250+

vl_86 02-24-2009 10:43 PM

did anyone catch Obama's speech today?
i watched it today, and i think he is one hell of a public speaker

TRDood 02-24-2009 10:57 PM

whoever that said getting in FAZ @ 75 must be crying right now

McDick 02-25-2009 06:08 AM

wow... easy profit on SKF and FAZ... good 10% gain in less than 40 minutes

wouwou 02-25-2009 02:01 PM

fuck I am so busy with work I cant even log into Questrade without it timing out me

DAMN IT MISSED PROFITSSSSSSSS!!

McDick 02-26-2009 05:55 AM

load up SKF at $151 in the morning.
Looking for a bounce since bank stocks has been up 2 days in a row.

wouwou 02-26-2009 09:42 AM

lol fuck I thought I was safe with abx @42

Guess NOT, full time work and day trading doesnt mix at all

Scoobysnax 02-26-2009 12:43 PM

^^ tell me about it, you miss way too many good chances while you are in meetings... Why didnt you sell ABX when gold hit resistance of 1000!?

Chuck Norris 02-26-2009 02:03 PM

If you have to work then you're better off trading the day charts with predetermined entry exit points.

true, unfortunately,

TSX doesnt take stop orders, at least from Questrade.

for FAZ/FAS, their stop need to be constantly monitored or it will be eaten up in 5 minutes of wild swing.

Oh well, now I am back, and at at good time too.

Sold at $175 this morning.. I love this market..
Good 17% gains in 24 hours.

McDick 03-02-2009 07:13 AM

how is everybody doing in the market?!?
I can't believe Dow is going down every single day. But I do expect some kind of a bear-market rally this week.

Made a lot of money from trading SKF and FAZ over the past week.
Do anyone knows any BULL ETF that will go up as the Dow go up?!?

wouwou 03-02-2009 07:52 AM

ah just load up on FAS if you dont know how others behave. FAS is the exact opposite of FAZ, with maybe 1% less moving average on a typical day.

and holy crap look at 6800 lol

604_Snooze 03-02-2009 09:12 AM

haha, I thought you said 6800 for TSX, scared me

well there is nothing stopping it from the free fall

;)

TRDood 03-02-2009 05:07 PM

FUCK

the market is a cruel place. i like it.

bobyu 03-02-2009 05:44 PM

can anyone tell me if the drop of AIG has affected the stock market like this?

Carl Johnson 03-02-2009 05:47 PM

AIG's stock don't move the market anymore, but their Q4 losses were pretty damn massive though. The US taxpayers are sick of this never-ending bailout for Wall street now.

But If Dow goes to 6500 or below I am buying lol

wouwou 03-05-2009 07:45 AM

God this is so boring holding cash on the side. I am actually going to watch porn on a Thursday morning, sadness

1.7El_guy 03-05-2009 08:36 AM

i gambled on LVS at 1.94...hope it does well at midday so i can sell it...too volatile but better than going to the casino lol

Carl Johnson 03-05-2009 04:20 PM

any reasons LVS over MGM? these two stock are almost at the same price now and MGM has came down hard this week.

anyways 6500 not to far away now, ready to pull the trigger anytime now

1.7El_guy 03-05-2009 07:30 PM

mgm came down hard because it is up to its neck with debt (they might default on debt) and they halt one of their projects on the las vegas strip

lvs has a new casino opening in may...and to prevent themselves from defaulting on their debt, they're selling two shopping malls in macao (hey at least they're trying to get out of debt)

Also i watched LVS a couple days now and it reached new lows today so since this stock is so volatile, im hoping for a pop. MGM is just plain failing.

FAS is under 3 now..wow...C was under $1...wonder how the mark-to-market news will help the financials, they just have to get past tomorrow's umemployment results.

TRDood 03-05-2009 08:28 PM

i want to shoot myself for being greedy for FAS. it seems like there is no positive news in the market anymore, other than waiting for more shit to fail or degrade. even stimulus packages are driving share prices down...

and what's with China dangling the market for the past 2 days.. they are trying to fuck US over?
