If you are expecting deflation then get yourself some gold/silver. Depending on your time horizon, in the long run i say inflation is still the bigger problem with all the fiscal/monetary policies.

Hey guys,
I have around $10000USD in my trading account, and I'm contemplating on exchanging it to CAD or just hold on to it. I keep hearing that the CAD is overvalued but then again, I keep hearing that the USD is going to devalue itself crazily around August because of the government's massive stimulus programs.

What's your guy's opinions on this? Exchange or hold? I'm starting to get paranoid haha

Also, what trading platform do you guys use?
I'm using Credential Direct, they have great customer service but the commissions are a bit high, plus the real-time quotes kinda suck.

I personally exchanged all my USD into CAD today, I bought the USD @ 1.09 a few weeks ago.

Watch the oil, when it stablizes, buy CAD and sell USD. do it in increments if you are not sure, to average the cost.

I bought my USD at the same price as you as well haha. right now the price of oil is fluctuating around $60-$65. I know higher price of oil = stronger CAD and vice versa, but all I'm wondering is when will the USD devalue itself from all its spending on stimulus and bailout plans.

ehh... maybe i'll just go gambling and dump it all onto Fannie Mae shares.

Oil shouldn't be in the $70s in the first place. Oil went up too high, too quickly.
Also, a 'rogue' trader pushed up the price as well.

Here is the article.
