im not getting my license back, final court is in a week

anyhow.... i just tried starting up the supra, no BOV on, and half the IC piping isnt clamped down (didnt think id need to clamp everything down just to get it to idle)

it wouldnt turn over after a few trys. i have oil pressure, fuel pressure and power

when i was trying to turn it over the top IC pipe from the throttle body would making a popping sound and shoot air out of there, then the ignition would stop suddenely

wtf?

do i need the BOV on there just to idle?

you mean i need the BOV on there... or what?

im gonna try checking the spark plugs and trying my toyota plug wires to see if that'll get it to turn over

and nope, i havent changed the gas... i just wanted to get it started, not to drive it

btw, wheres my payment for that IC pipe?

I drove my car home tonight.

what the fuck I am a retard.

If you guys ever buy AEM cam gears, follow the directions and use the provided allen head bolts for your cams. If you don't, and torque down your cam gears, they'll start grinding on the stock bolts until you wear grooves right through them and jump your timing belt off so that your crank and your cams are way out of sync.

Anyway, after a lot of coaxing we managed to get the car to start, idle, and drive around. I've got a CEL throwing a code 22 (water sensor), I think I haven't hooked that up properly. This JDM block has a lot of different shit on it.

I must also have tons of vacuum leaks, at idle I'm at -15 Hhmg or whatever, instead of the usual -20. No fucking clue where to even start with this one.

I'm still happy though, my car has been down for a month

vaccuum leaks" get a nice tasty cigar, light it up, blow it on the engine. might give you a basic area to look for leaks.

toby post anything you know about that CPS problem.... im starting to aim my problem towards that.

the last time my car was running it was that day i washed out the engine bay and i did cover up all electronics, but alot of water still got in around the valve cover area.. so who knows maybe i screwed the CPS

any ideas on tweaking the CPS to function just a tad better?

how important is the ground to the coil packs, too, would putting a thicker wire on there help at all?

the problem with mine is the harness is old and cracked. it only ever happens on hot days when the engine is hot, but the CPS harness would mess up, causing it to fire the spark plugs at the same time. it would sound like it was trying to start, but nothing would happen. i originally changed the plugs and dripped some oil in the cylinders, thinking i dried out the rings. turns out all i have to do is wiggle the harness a bit and it will usually start right up. thats the most info i can give you...

... as for ryan, nice toy if the weathers nice ill probably install the new stuff ive got: plugs, mbc, accordian hose...
