hey Hrm...Just wondering if any of you Supra owners live in Royal oak..I was just driving around...and noticed two parked about a block away from my house. Who you be? Just curious! |
i don't know what clour were they |
hrm.. Bright Red (stock color) and a maroon color. Both had rims...One's Turbo/Tagra...didn't really see the other... |
IMHO chrome fender flares look like crap on all cars, but thats my opinion, and i'm entitled to it. if you like it, more power to you, its your car, you dont need my approval, right? just like a fellow supra owner that has a ricer wing, looks like shit IMHO, but he likes it, so mheah. |

good effort, needs a bit of work though. GTA3 Vice City comes out for PC on May 14, ive got a copy reserved.... unless I can find it online of course ;) car is still in peices... havent touched it since ryan was over haha. im going to pick up some screwbolts for the valvecovers today or tomorrow (6x30mm hex head), and return the grommets that i bought for $3 EACH! holy crap... if any of the grommets start leaking, then ill replace them one at a time... |
nice That things pretty sweet man! I think you could even make it better! |
yeah, well considering the GTA car has no textures... its a damn good start! as for the real supra.. installed the aluminum speedhut bezel today, took some pics http://www.supraforums.com/showthrea...hreadid=119948 |

remmber you don't need heck head for the vavle covers and stuff you need thou rubber shim thou cause if you turq down you cover to much you kill the gasket i don't whould what this be thing about hex heads are when you only turq em downto 18 to 20 foot pounds and every oil change should cheak cover and re turq the cover 's |
I ordered the Titan 1.4mm Metal headgasket today from Suprasport.com. we'll see how long it takes to get here. Fuck I can't beleive how expensive everything is here. Lordco and Baker supply want $300 for the Fel-Pro headgasket or $500 for the rebuild kit. Toyota wants $96 for the OEM headgasket or $380 for the top-end rebuild kit. Do you think I could get away with just the MHG and new cam cover gaskets? Anyone feel like doing a trip to Nanaimo for some BHG fun? ;) |
i hope your machining the block for that MHG... as for the hex head bolts, picked them up from Lordco, $1.44. The advantage is they wont back out like the stock screws do, and they wont strip the phillips head... plus they look trick :) |

i fucking hate my car... got the valvecovers back on... cracks 3 fucking hoses... the only one i priced out was fucking $58... anyone know of other options for hoses? i need: -one short (2") on from the valve cover to the PCV metal pipe -the elbow at the end of the PVC pipe that attaches to the accordian hose -the one that i cut for my mbc cracked at the end... -the hose from the oil cap to the block ($58)... im thinkin that i should pull them all off and head to lordco, see what they have that would work for me.... bah, im tired of this, who wants to buy a supra? lol jk |

too late now.. i worked 2 hours overtime becuase the manager is a dumbfuck, i had to do 8 daysheets, instead of the 3 i was supposed to do.... shitty day for autox anyways... but DAMNIT i wanted to meet duane (and his car :) ) |
damn this sucks, I wanted to go to the meet so bad. Heh, 3 out of 4 supras are down at the moment - damn I wish I had one of these when they first came out... (I was 6 years old when my car was made but whatever). Anyway, I'm looking at what plugs and wires to get right now. After calling around it looks like I can get NGK Platinums for $11/ea but the guy at Baker supply recommended the Bosch Platinum +4's for the same price. what would the hotter plugs do performance wise? The NGK Coppers are $3/each. I did a bunch of searches on supraforums and people tend to think that the coppers perform better than the plats but don't last as long. If a set of coppers lasts me at least a year I think I'd be happy with the investment anyway though. Also autolite wires are $75, NGK wires are $110, and Bosch wires are $120. Do wires make that much of a difference or should I re-use my stock ones? Thanks. |
