it looks pretty cool, the doors might be a little much. the front end is dope for sure, most of the veilside kits ive seen for cars look too much like spaceships (Rx7 kit and etc)
i personally like the simpler kits on basically all cars, putting a body kit on a car to make it look like something else sorta defeats the purpose of buying that car in the first place.
just adding body skirts and front lips and such looks cool.. thats my opinion cars really dont need 3 feet of fiberglass surrounding every aspect of the vehicle

the gulwing doors wouldnt be too hard to customize since the car comes with a targa top, but i have to agree with paradox, front lip sideskirts and an 89+ wingis all i want.... too bad they dont make lips for the 86.5-88.... tiem to play with fiberglass!

I came across this list of body kits for the MKIII a little while ago: SoCalSupras Body kits
If I ever get the money, I want the Do-Luck JZA70 T-2 kit from Suprasport. I'll have do my intake and exhaust before I do that though, so its not too ricey, lol. I've got the "girly" supra (NA Auto)... |

dont dis the auto's! even lots of import racing magazines are picking up on the growing trend of automatic / big power / fast 1/4 cars out there nowadays... after '88 most supra's were auto
most draggers use auto trannys becuase they shift a hell of a lot faster than any human can with a 5spd. now for me, its just a matter of finding a tranny that can keep up with boost...
if i could have found a supra in as mint condition as mine when i was lookin' in a 5spd, i would have gotten that for sure, but goddamn. you know how many junker supra's are on this island?? too many. i must have been looking at supra's off and on for 3 years before i got mine, the only nice ones were never for sale
im still tempted to do a 5spd swap, but its not really worth it if the R154 cant handle anymore power either, i might aswell just get a high stall torque converter and rebuild the auto i have to a much higher spec, it just makes sense.
i will however say that a 5spd is a hell of a lot more fun to drive |

well auto are go for thse few thing bumper to bumper traffic
drag raceing
and to lazy to drive like real man
but if you are raceing down some roads i rather have a 5 spd use both grears abd brakes to slow down
you can stop faster in a standered then you cna in auto
caues just think of it auto do not make any mistake's
but when raceing you have to cnage you shift for every coner and every cure so auto are bad there caues they can think humm big conner come up shift into this gear and such

no shit? hows the quality of it? does it grind in any gears or anything? and are u sure a W58 will hold 400HP? thats a lot of damn power for a NA tranny. also i think i need a tranny from a car that has ABS because of a ABS sensor or plug on it.
im really not too sure about all this... but that might be a cool idea

hey guys, what's up? false alarm on the BHG
it was a rad line in the back of the engine so I'm ordering
the part tomorrow and it will be here on friday from toyota
and as far as the w58 tranny I personally wouldn't go any higher
than 400hp,I have a w58 in my ride and I like it alot and if the drivetrain wasn't high K's I would go that high. I was reading an article (don't ask where or when)
but this one dude claimed that the w58 was stronger than the r154,(don't believe everything that you read) that's my $.02

W58 is supposed to be smoother than a R154 too.. im tempted NashMan. ive gotta look into finding the rest of the parts i'll need first, i'll probably go talk to a guy i know who does tranny work all the time and see what he thinks he can pull off.
mm 5spd would be fun, if i got that done, then all id need to do is change the color of my interior and id have my dream supra! shweeeet.

as for not going above 400HP, well uhh-- we'll see what happens when i get my new turbo
btw, NashMan that knocking sound my engine was making is totally gone, it was just that one time *pheww* i thought something was fucked, but realistically i think maybe it was just running really rough and causing something on the exterior of the engine to rattle, i dunno. but it definetaly isnt internal, all my power's still there.
i did however drive the fuck out of my car today, used up about a half tank of gas and put in 92+ octane.

anyways, yeah ive heard the same thing about the W58 Tranny man, off of supraforums i think.
and be thankful you didnt have a BHG, thats very cool... BHG's suck ass and cost far too much money
i saw that Reg's SONiC lapping tool only costs like 250 bux though? damn that's a pretty good price, getting it lapped proffesionally would cost that much.

paradox, ever talked to t61supradean on supraforums? hes willign to "rent" the lapping tool to me for cheap. i would have to pay shipping and give him a deposit.
i talked to a guy that comes into my work all the time, and he said hes rebuidl my head, and give me a good deal. he use to own/run "Just Heads" in Coombs i think he said. hes got a new shop in sidney i think.... might do a MHG or a new stock HG with ARP studs this summer... get the head rebuilt, valve seals,3 angle valve job.... custom cams are only $350 from a place in vancouver....
