apparantly the DP reduces lag by around 600 rpm.... lets hope for the best, i find out later today whats happening with it.... if anyone else wants a defcon-style DP, let me know, i could get them all shipped together to save some cash, might be able to hook up a bit better price too....

Ah, owning a low-powered NA makes up for poor driving!
That's what it's "better in the corners".
You can floor it all you want and you still won't be going too fast for the corner |

not true in any way power is not every thing you should know that be now if you raod race or any thing like that then you whould power mean nothing to me
sure in drag turbo are the best but na are better for windy shit
alls i saying is i want better power are 2500 rpm
it hard to say alls i got o say is ask toby on how fast aka know what i am doing
main word in fact is i still not used to trubo as much as i am na

you shouldnt even be at 2500 rpm if your racing..... redline 1st, 3500 rpm 2nd. redline 2nd, about the same in 3rd. redlien 3rd, etc. i think it might be your NA diff if anything, it messes up the gearing.
when i downshift from 3rd, it lands RIGHT in the sweet spot for power, no lag whatsoever. ill have to agree with paradox, NA power makes up for poor driving.... if your in the powerband, which you SHOULD be if your racing, you will have no lag whatsoever.....

hehe i have a AUTOMATIC! and i can even manage to keep my car in the 'power band' the most power i can pull is between 3,000RPM in first, 4,000 in second and by the time i hit rev's in 3rd or 4th im going 150kph.. so its not much use even know what rev's to hit on up there, but ofcourse its nice to hit right on spool at 3000-3500k RPM in any gear.
as for NA power being able to handle better, the only real benefits i see is that your power doesnt change when you're going around corners, but if you're in a corner you shouldnt be using much gas at all. brake >> corner >> get back on. i cant see why you'd want to be above 3000RPM in any corner anyhow (atleast tight corners) with the turbo you will definetaly lose traction, but you also gain power... lots of power.
give me the boost anyday. it may take more tuning and stuff breaks more and it costs more... but what is lost in annoyance is made up in fun! plus you get to swoosh at other cars with your BOV! |

what i do now i kinda friged t out well works for me is down shift right into the conner then smooth transfer to gas and i can get around it kinda nice now and the tec will bounch tigh where i want it 3500 but still i whould liek to have more spool at that time
don't call me fool caue si know alot when it come to tat type of stuff raceing around track like mini sprints is not my ball park and auto x is far better and you get tot run more to boot

hey NashMan, whatta you know about washers on the wastegate stretching it out?
ive got like 5 washers on each side now, boost controller goes in this week (i hope). and im wondering if the washers could cause my wastegate to act weird?
ive had 3 washers on for 5-6 months, and 4-6 for the past month.

well this is tuchy thing but just think
i will explaint he good and the bad abotu the this hole shim your waste gate thing
when you shime the waste gate you are pushing it forward so the waste gate has more to travole aka the waste gate will by pass the exhuast when it close so basicly you are give ti more travole but there is bad thing 2 of em one is the stress ont he vavle that close it it so streacht it will break and plus you will have boost spikes caues the stock ecu still think it pushing 6 or 7 psi so it not contoled no more that why alot of peoepl go to eletic controls caues you just take the vac line and run ti stright from that
basicl maunle will allwasy have spikes and might over boost more then eletic
now runing that many washer is cauesing alot of streest on 13 year old part but shiming ti bit will nto hurt mine is at 3 washer and i happy whiht the power
now runing over 5 you will have spikes like mad man and have chance to run lean and over boost akak nocking and stuff breaking ect
but it s you car so i can not tell you wan tot do but 5 or more your risking breaking you turbo as well you eneing if over boost to high and you fule is not right
i can go on and on about this but when you give more power the ecu still thinks it run stock
thats why you have bad ideal caues you computer is telling one thing weil you afm is saying some thing els that why they mad screw for it so you can manule ajust it
oh and one other thing you you have to set your fule to happy medium in order to run right or you will just blew head gasket ect
bascily play it safe run low boost tell you ajust you fule and air flow or some thing may go wroung
and we never liek that happing
oh and one other thing the toyota supra fuel system runing from stock is good up to 12 psi then ytou run lean whiht out any timeing ajusted and high fule grade and if done wroung then the nock sencer comes on and you loose power when i raced at the speed way i was runing suck low power caues my nock seancer was not hooked up
any way i hope you chould read this tiny bit drunk so i may mis spelled thing and missed some thing abut shimming to much can be bad thing noit just for the turbo btu the hole eneinge
and if you hit fule cut what ever you do never by pass that fule
cut is there for reson
2 words sort run 3 washer tell you get your boost controler then tune it for you reg boost and you should be fine

i hope to see 15psi very soon...

just remmber befor you boost hard 3 things to make sure of is
your afm is tuned
you can run rich just means you car will suck on gas like 5 year sucking on slurpy and you may shoot flams on the hat caue sof the lower denc air up there
but when you boost you will never detantae in any way or run lean and you tail pipe will allways be black caue's of carbon
and alot of people that push 15 pis run fule regulaters look inot that and see how much you can get one for
any ways good luck you will be pushing about 300 hp at the wheels in no time maybe bit higher

as for the wastegate actuater stretching out i had 5 washers on there for a year and i put the boost controller in recently and didn't have a problem not to try and start an argument but it takes alot to stretch it out!
