HEY!!
I am already in Nanaimo.... if you come up, be sure to give me a call. My number is 756-2338, name is Reuben.
I gotta order a master cylinder today, and I won't have any wheels. But if someone wanna come and pick me up, I'd like to meet you guys. I dunno what's up with my car now. Rear right tire is losing air... I think it might have just been the coldness acting on the rim or something? Was fine last time I was driving, so I don't know how I coulda got a flat.
Also now it won't start. I thought my battery was dead, but it won't even turn over a little bit. Started fine the last time I drove it. I'll try giving it a boost today when my roommate gets back from work so I can use her car for a jump. But wouldn't it even try to turn over, or even just click? God I hope it's not my starter... I'm too broke to replace things right now.
Was going to put insurance on again in Feb. too... I dunno what the hell is up. And I don't even have tools down here to take stuff apart, just a set of wrenches. Stupid cars...
But yeah, enough ranting. If you come down, give me a call, I'd like to meet you guys. But my car won't be in comission and I don't have any other wheels.

Exactly what happened to my car.
I dunno if it's just the battery or what?!
I tried jumping it last night, nothing. I dunno what the deal is, it was fine last time I went to start it up and let it run. I think maybe the battery is just completely drained? I'm going to swap it out today and see (steal my roommate battery from her car :P)
It definetly sucks ass though. I have no real experience with stuff like this, so all I can do is guess, but I don't want to waste money on parts I don't need. Any ideas Nash?

I don't know what the hell is wrong with mine either!!
I checked every fuse that I could. Tried jumpstarting it.
If the battery was completely dead, would you be able to jump it?
I was thinking of trying to get my landlord to lend me a battery charger, but I have no idea what else it could be.
Let me know if you have any progress, seems like the same problem. God damn supras, as soon as I buy parts to fix one thing, another thing goes wrong!

Looks like ass IMO, maybe just a bad pic, but the wheels and tires look worse than stock!
But on another note... I did try jumpstarting the battery, to no avail. The thing is, if the battery was drained- and I mean right drained - then jumping wouldn't do a thing anyways.
When it's run right down, the only thing I think you can do is borrow a charger from someone and charge it up overnight, see what happens the next day. If nothing, then I guess you gotta get a new battery.
This seems to make the most sense to me, more than any other problems that just magically came up (although you never know, it IS a supra). In my case I know that I did kill the battery, I left my trunk open (not locked down, so the lights were still on) for at least a whole day - I was gone out of town, realized it when I got home. Pure stupidity on my part... I know so don't flame me for it.
At least it didn't rain though hehe.
I dunno if it's the same case for you or not Nash, but I'm going to see if I can borrow a charger from my landlord (it's nice having a 25 year old landlord - that's rich and a heavyduty deisel mechanic living upstairs) and charge it overnight tomorrow. Going snowboarding, so I will try this out tomorrow after I get home.
It seems to make the most sense to me, either that or a fuse going out somehow. I checked all the fuses I could, all seemed ok.
If this doesn't work, I guess I'll be buying a redtop from Costco and seeing if that fixes it. I've been eyeing them up everytime I go grocery shopping there anyways. I'll let you know how it goes for me, b/c it sounds liek the same sort of problem. But I'd suggest trying to get a hold of a batterycharger overnight and seeing if that is the problem, or swap out batteries if possible.
Good luck!

Nope, no power in the cabin, no power at all. I don't really believe that it's a relay switch or fuse or anything. If it is that would suck though.
It just makes more sense logically tha tif one day it starts, I realize I leave the trunk open, then it loses power... it should be the battery gone dead.
Is there any such relays in the back? something that leaving the trunk cracked and moisture could have possibly affected?
I am going to start with the simple and work my way from there. It doesn't make sense that 1 day the car starts fine, and the next day a ground comes loose or a relay goes bad when I haven't been driving the thing. I have no idea!!!
But I'm gonna try the battery charger hopefully today, and if that doesn't work I'll swap the battery. If that doesn't work, only god knows and I work my way up from there I suppose.
Keep me updated on your progress, it sounds like similar problem, and you probably know more than me about where to look if it's not the batt.

Im glad you found your problem! Could have been alot worse. Do you figure the wire just broke from age or did something cut it?
