buy a beater, they are great!
either buy a sub-$500 car, or an over-$5000 car, becuase in between $500-$5000 is alot of crap.... buy your moms 240!

i dont get how 500-5000 is complete crap, but yeah.. a beater is needed, im not sure i can afford to drive the supra all the time anymore, specially when my insurance is going to be like 10x as much |

my theory is basically if a car is sub$500, you know exactly what your getting. from $500-$5000, its risky, becuase people will do cheap fixes to sell the car for a few more bux, and in Victoria, they usually ask way more than the car is worth....
ya, sucks about your insurance. did you have a discount before? right now, i have 35%, if i get into an accident, it will drop down to a 5% discount i think... once your a Road Star level 3 or something, you can get into 2 accidents at 100% your fault and you can still have a small discount left... its nuts....
on another note, my electric exhaust cutout arrived today. pretty cool, not much use for it right now though...

i still want to trade exhausts, once i have a license.
and well, i had a total discount before, 6 years worth. i think at 5 years you loose that new drivers percentage shit.
i never claimed my car to ICBC tho, not that it really matters, not much damage and i plan to swap the bumper anyways. but the insurance company will see what happened and charge me up the ass for sure. bah.

ICBC sucks, right now im paying a 55% surcharge. One more year of accident free driving and im back to the 0% baserate though. I just hate paying so much for insurance though.

well if you didnt claim it, it shouldnt be a problem....
whenever you want to swap exhaust, let me know... gotta fix the car, build the DP, install the cutout.... save for a clutch....

well neither of our cars have insurance. haha
i plan to insure mine a bit early i figure, get friends to drive it a bit and have it run down to do some tranny work again (just a check to make sure everythings in order) and then have my steering aligned. etc
but yeah, sometime in march perhaps we could swap if thats cool.

Nashman, why would you want to change your exhaust to 4", thats huge! Might make it sound cool but is it even going to fit underneath the car without bottoming?

since im going with a smaller exhaust (2.5") and might be putting the cat back in, ill need a cutout to get more power...
and anything over 3" is a waste of money IMHO... but you know that there wont be performance gains, so thats good. at least you dont think it will net you more power....
if you want to be different, build dual exhausts haha

dont, you'll be passing the piping under the gas tank... which i personally dont think is smart...
also, its an inline 6, no point in having it aside from looks, therefore rice IMHO....
