Enraged 02-05-2004 10:06 PM

i started cutting apart my stock intake mani today.... and boy is my arm tired. i just have one more cut to make, and then i can start cleaning up the flanges and building and forming the sides...

and ryan, i couldnt beleive it when i read this! congrats! http://ryan.demetrioff.swellserver.c...utwithbang.php

NashMan 02-05-2004 11:19 PM

cuttign ti apart no going back now big man you better hope it works and you got you isc vavle and stuff in working oder or you will have some nasty revs and car will run like ass wiht greddy emage and sfac you can get by this that ro stand alone any ways good luck

Enraged 02-06-2004 11:05 AM

ive talked with Dr J and Ron (jt2ma71) about it, and you dont need the isc. without it, the car will idle at over 1000 rpms, but aside from that, there is no sideeffects...

and i still have my stock one on the car, the one im cutting apart and rebuilding was a spare i bought for cheap.

TouringTeg 02-06-2004 11:28 AM

ah so this thread is still alive :)

saw a very nice kit on a red mk3 supra at interurban camosun. me likes

Enraged 02-06-2004 01:28 PM

ya, nice girl drives it, last time i talked to her she worked at McDs in Royal Oak...

are you taking classes at Interurban?

Paradox 02-06-2004 02:47 PM

why get rid of the ISC?, it can be relocated, just get a longer length of coolant hose

Enraged 02-06-2004 03:44 PM

its not needed, and i would have to make a new flange for it

TouringTeg 02-06-2004 04:36 PM

yep I've got some business classes there doing business admin now. ooo you got a mk3 supra nice!

Slate 85GTS 02-06-2004 04:47 PM

Yup i sure did!! :D Its pretty cool, not too fond of the color though, but apparently it grows on you lol. We'll see. I bought it as a bit of a project but hopefully it will all come together alright. I have to get it running (wiring issues but ive got a good idea as to the problem) and while i have it all apart im going to put the upgraded head gasket in just because its apart anyways, and we all know how well these old head gaskets hold up lol right... But ya, all in all im happy with it. Should be fun. You will have to come over and check it out sometime.

lil wicks 02-06-2004 05:20 PM

Whats your car doing?

lil wicks 02-06-2004 06:12 PM

there is no idle

Slate 85GTS 02-06-2004 06:23 PM

Just stalls out?? does it even try to idle at all before stalling?

lil wicks 02-06-2004 07:09 PM

well i have made it try to idle but it only idles for like 2 sec so it doesn't really idle.

Paradox 02-06-2004 07:21 PM

check your throttle position sensor, and clean your idle speed sensor

this is ofcourse if you've already tried new spark plugs, wires, checking the timing, checking for vacuum leaks... all the usual stuff

Enraged 02-06-2004 07:55 PM
