Oh ya and also i wanted to ask you guys if any of you know FOR SURE what the differences are between the Main ECU to Engine wiring harness for a 5 speed trans, and an auto trans? I have found a good deal on a harness out of an 87 turbo auto trans supra and the kid says hes sure it will work for me, but i just want to make sure before i go coughing up the doh for it. My thinking is the auto trans harness would just have a few extra connectors on it thats all? but i need to know for sure... let me know what you guys think? Thanks.

from my understanding a auto ECU will work with a 5spd, but not vice versa

You mean the wiring harness not the ECU right?

wiring harness should have a plug for the trans, but aside from that, i think its the same. search on supraforums to be sure.

i talked to the guy the other day, im waiting on pics of the springs, and im goin to paypal him on the weekend.

might go silver, but the prices were from one of the places in town... island powdercoating or capital or somthing.

timing belt is US$24 from jeff watson, so about $30 from the dealer probably. the other belts you can buy at lordco, probably $20-30 for all of them.

people that dont tip can fucking eat my ass with a spoon. morons.

you can use it cause all the plugs are diffent but you can hack it part to make it work but that is bit of work and if you have harness all ready that bena choped there is no reson to to buy it

get the one from an 88T 5spd...

murray - call toyota, tell them its for an 87 supra (so you get a 15% discount). then try lordco or JB, see what the price difference is. i might put new belts on while its all apart... i was thinking about doing the timing belt, but getting that crank pulley off will be a major hassle...

why will i get a discount if i say its for a 87?

i may aswell just change my alt. belt for now... stupid battery keeps dying on me, and i think its partly due to the slipping belt

toyota does discounts for older cars: 10% for a 10 year old, 15% for a 15 year old.

You know, cars really do get jealous. Dont let anyone ever tell you your physcotic if you think a car is jealous because its true they do get jealous. About a week before i bought the supra my poor celica got a cracked head resulting in a blown head gasket. Well i got that all fixed and taken care of, nothing 300 bucks wont fix. So i thought everything was all good and happy, well now the celica decides that that new clutch i put in there when i rebuilt the engine is not good enough for it. Its slipping under heavy acceleration or high rev situations. Its so friggin lame, ive probably got like 15,000 km on it since i put that clutch in and its slipping already. And i did a complete not just a friction disc. Im talking machined the flywheel, new friction disc and new pressure plate. Talk about a run of bad luck... back to the moral of the story, cars CAN get jealous! Dont be fooled

Heh. My car heard a rumor that I want to get a Mazda 3 once I get my raise.... It decided to blow its exhaust in half!

So the pipe got sheared off right at the resonator. I'll get pics tomorrow when I take it to the muffler shop.

I got a $40 Magnaflow from Jeffraider tho, w00t!
