after that, upgrade the tranny with a higher stall? then what? some sway bars, better struts, RXB?

i dont have much mods yet, just waiting on a few things. i think im just goin to do intake/exhaust/boost controller, then focus on suspension. i might also rebuild a shortblock, to swap in later on. i also want to focus on my stereo install, as that will take at least a month working on it whenever possible.

Enraged 06-09-2002 06:49 PM

oh ya, and i want some god damn rims too, sawblades are fugly! maybe go with some 18s if i save some money.

NashMan 06-09-2002 10:20 PM

well you got to see where i came fro i was na now i am turbo so i counting that as upgrade

ps whould you ever part whiht you strut bar

NashMan 06-09-2002 10:25 PM

oooh one other thing is i lieki the way my car looks caues it looks like shite but drives like a a god

as for fule ect don't need it yet i will soon and i got good deal going on whiht inter cooler as well i may have to fab it on so i may not go after it but has weee bigger core and flows better as well it is out of anther car i forgot which one give me sec oh well i to tired me sleep

i am out of the audio game now don't want teh weight

Paradox 06-09-2002 10:53 PM

yeah, im still looking into the tranny build up.. im not totally sure im going to get done, prolly go with a 3000+rpm stall, higher line pressure and maybe even a complete rebuild

i'll figure that out if my current tranny blows on me

i do however want to get black carpet and paint my interior, also looking into strut bars and steel braided brake lines. and for cheap stuff, heat sheild and CAI

and hells no i wouldnt part with my strut bar, that thing made a pretty big difference in cornering, its also good to help the tires from wearing out prematurely. I would however suggest getting one for yourself, not sure is cusco is the best brand, but there isnt too many choices.

thats cool that you did the swap to turbo though man, im not sure if you could call it a mod as much as a replacement... but its better than rolling a 3500+lb car around with 200hp... heh

JDM_CTR 06-10-2002 02:08 AM

supras are cool

NashMan 06-10-2002 07:44 AM

well i was thinking on getting strut bar but my car is pretty stiff in the coner one thing i really want is the hks pilow monts thous are bad ass

but i better stop modding and pay some bills

and if i do get stut ba ri goig to get front and rear and the pillow monts and then my seption will have to be recamber to what i like again

i spent alot of time on my settings and i will never tell what they are caues it makes my car spealice

Paradox 06-10-2002 03:35 PM

changing your camber settings isnt gonna do you much good for a daily driver man. its only gonna wear out your tires faster :(

NashMan 06-10-2002 06:07 PM

oh it does but yes it will ware bit but not much now how i have it set

if you were at the speed way you whould under stand on how my car is very easy to control when raceing

that the bueaty about it

the only thing i whould really love whould be ploy bushing for the a arms and for the turnbucles that whould be pimp but no one makes em so far but i herd they will be poping out soon

Paradox 06-10-2002 07:03 PM

jeff @ suprasport is putting together a low-buck solution for the HKS pillow mounts, im not sure when it'll be finished, but thats an idea for you.

NashMan 06-10-2002 08:52 PM

yae i read that but i think the hks one will be better caues it has etra stiff plate to go whith it as in the stock type that that guy is makeing is useign factory ect just replaceign the rumber pieca

Paradox 06-11-2002 12:51 AM

hey any of you guys know a good place to get stuff polished with ceramic coating, preferably around north saanich.. i hate dealing with downtown companies.

NashMan 06-11-2002 09:11 AM

as shinny chrome like polish

or powered coating ect

if t is poishing you can do it your self just pic up a kit for lord co if they have any and if they don't then they will tell you were you can pic it up but i pretty sure they have some thing like that

as for powered coating you can do it your self as well only if you have oven

i done it once in my life for some bike parts and works great and easy to do now what is it call thou ah call lordco they will know the name caues they can get the stuff in stock

as for heat ceramick have no clue where you can get that done but i know you can buy the mess form lordco and maybe crappy tire

but just give couple calls around you will find out what you are looking for

oh just remmber the name of the powder coatins thing name it is made buy easton ro some thign liek that

Enraged 06-11-2002 02:37 PM

for ceramic coating, i phoned around awhile back, noone knew where to get it done in victoria. theres a shop in vancouver that does JetHot coating, it comes out looking like chrome.

hmmmm wallet full of shit... HERE IT IS! ok, dont have the shop name, but its in Delta. 604 - 946 - 7761, i was told to talk to Ed about JetHot coating. i seem to remember that 2.5" intercooler piping was about ... just called them, $20-25 per foot. ill get my IC hardpipes either JetHot coated, or powdercoated. powdercoating is cheap, and there are thousands of colors to choose from.

as for polishing, ill agree with nashman, call lordco. a freind of mine did some parts this way, turned out very nice. if you dont want to do it yourself, look in the Yellow Pages under Metal Plating/Polishing. there is a place in sidney that offers very reasonable prices.

Paradox 06-11-2002 03:52 PM

naw i can do it myself, but what the hell do i need? i dont have a polishing wheel or anything... ???? drill with polishing type bit ?

i want to polish my turbo when it gets here

that jet hot looks cool for doing exhaust manifold or something, since they do both the inside and out of it. but i cant imagine its cheap

NashMan 06-11-2002 05:45 PM

it is kit you can buy and if they don't have the kit then they will tell you how to do it

oh and you know there is new thing that i just read about cermick that you can do at home

again by useing the over but i wounder how well it works

Paradox 06-11-2002 11:51 PM

i just solved my polishing problem i believe, i'll be house sitting my grandparents place up island pretty soon, and hes got all sorts of tools i can use to polish. there isnt a bench polisher, but hes got drills and a sweet ass dremel tool. im sure i can make some good use out of that.

which brings me to another point... i drove up to parksville today for a bit, then drove back..... had absolutely no problems with the car, even tho i was pushing a steady 120k+ the entire way there and back. temp gauge never went above average running level even in todays heat....

all in all a good cruise, i wouldnt want to do it in any other car :D

Enraged 06-12-2002 10:53 AM

you goin to be driving up in the first week of july? im goin campin with some freinds, it would be cool to drive up there with another supra.

NashMan 06-12-2002 11:21 AM

do youy guys whan tto join up whihtt he rx7 meet this saterday at 7 pm that is if they lets us tag along and see some nice rx7's and stuff

Paradox 06-12-2002 10:08 PM

Enraged, i dunno when i'll be driving up there, i'll prolly be going back and fourth fairly often, im not 100% sure on that one tho..

as for the Rx7 meet.. i might be interested in dropping by and checking out some cars, altho those guys dont seem too friendly towards supra owners :p

NashMan 06-12-2002 11:44 PM

baaa there a great crowd i talked to most of em when i was at the meet

any way looks liek i have to replace my brake4s caue smine are grinding what fun eh oh well i knew they needed replaceing well i will most likly go power slot other then actory cross drill only if i get a better claper but i find there not many to choose from besi9de mrk 4 converion that cost alot

power slot
steel braided line maybe
shose maybe trd don't know as of yet

any way tobs how much you pay for your brakes any way

Paradox 06-13-2002 12:12 AM

ive been working on getting some steal braided brake lines myself for the past week or so....

powerslot were something like 240 bux?? christ i have no idea.

im happy with my brembo cross drilled/slotted for now, but im going to powerslots when they need to be replaced.

ohh, i painted some stuff under my hood today, basically just the battery tie down and the other plastic cover thing on the opposite side. ive got a ton of blue stuff happening, i just need to polish it all up and it'll look dope!

getting new o2 sensor soon too... maybe that'll help my car from idling like shite!

let us know about that Rx meet tho, NashMan. Toby you up for going? i might just stop by or something..

NashMan 06-13-2002 04:58 AM

yae if your car is doing that it can be timeing or 02 senser and i beleav you timeing right so most likly your 02

as for brakes that sucks for me at lest
but they will be fixed and better then ever

even if i don't buy power slot ect

Enraged 06-13-2002 03:59 PM

my brakes were $240 i think, but they took 3 weeks to get to me.... as for the meet, this coming saturday? maybe, i cant if its teh one after that though.

Paradox 06-13-2002 05:09 PM
