Enraged 04-08-2002 03:23 PM

i can do that in my car (the picture). take the needles off, and when the engien is off, place the tach needle at 3000 rpm,a nd the speeodo needle at abotu 50. not hard to do.... after taking off the needles, my fuel gauge is still messed....

NashMan 04-08-2002 04:09 PM

what are you talking about i don't get what you are doing

any ways you want my amp eh why not the subs and do you have any subs or stuff liek that

Enraged 04-08-2002 04:13 PM

my current setup is a Pioneer CD player, JBC Eq (same one as in the sound solutions demo truck), Massive RS 40.4, Boston Acoustics Rally Series 6.5s, and 2 10" MassiveCompetition Series subs. still havent hooked up the subs, im getting a security system before i install the stereo.

its not that hard to do for the plastic panels at least. just sand them lightly, a bit of primer, and a nice coat of black paint.
what kind of primer? thats good thinkin'....

NashMan 04-08-2002 06:55 PM

i whould never paint parts in my car it just whould not match much

Enraged 04-08-2002 07:35 PM

i think regular auto primer would work. you can get aerosol stuff as well.

ill have black interior with burgandy seats for awhile, but i dont care.

NashMan 04-09-2002 10:12 AM

what about the roof and all the cloth and such you going to die it and stuff or some thing ou leav it

the only intor i have sean that i liked was gay and black on but not much was changed but it was kinda good togetter

Enraged 04-09-2002 01:54 PM

the headliner and carpet are fairly easy to replace. the carpet on the doors will come off when i rebuidl the doors for my stereo, and the leather inserts will be replace with silver painted inserts, to match the dash and stereo install.

ive got it all planned out, just have to get some cash for it....

deathangel 04-09-2002 01:59 PM

hehe, check out my ghetto boost gauge install... arggh, cant wait til i get my POD!

Enraged 04-09-2002 09:23 PM

my muffler arrived today.. fuckin sweet! unfortunetly, its $157 their cost, so about $210 or something now, but since it was their messup, i get it at cost! brislands is the best!

Paradox 04-09-2002 11:23 PM

sweet!

is that just the muffler or all the piping too?

booter22 04-10-2002 11:44 AM

fuck i hate german cars.. thats all i have to say ... had to say it somwhere .. corey was that the prob in your car... just wires?

Enraged 04-10-2002 02:07 PM

that was just the muffler. once i get my downpipe (2-3 weeks i hope) ill do the dp-back exhaust. should be abour $100 in materials, then going to have to pay someone with a lift to put it together and weld it., in total, i dont see it costing more than $400 for the dp-back (aluminized steel piping).

Paradox 04-10-2002 04:14 PM

sounds like a damn good price..

i did 3" catback first mod. holy christ did it ever make a difference, stock supra's are fairly quiet but after yanking off stock intake/exhaust they start to wake up heh, gotta love it.

Paradox 04-10-2002 04:22 PM

you guys know the best 12V source i can hook into for a boost gauge? i was thinking about just going into my CD deck's source for now.

ive heard of people wiring into the foglight switch? good idea or bad?

NashMan 04-10-2002 04:33 PM

na the best place to hook it up is to the dimmer it wokrs whiht you lights best place just undew one scew plus it off and soder it in the 2 green ons at he ones you are looking for reson why i just hook mine up

if you don't have meater just take you + - wire to one of rht egreen ones tell it turns on and there you go you found which is wich then sodler her in

it is better then haven it on the hole time

Paradox 04-10-2002 04:59 PM

ok cool, i'll try the dimmer switch

you think i could run both boost and EGT gauges off that one source without blowing fuses or anything?

NashMan 04-10-2002 05:06 PM

yae it should be fine and if you blow fuse then you just buy fuse that is .5 higher but blowing fuse naa can't see that happen

if you are re scared you can put reistor in it or you can just like not turn you dimmer all the way up but it should be fine

KultZero 04-10-2002 05:15 PM

Got a question for you Supra guys. Is there any difference between the MkIII years?

In terms of the performance, exterior, interior, options... anything?

I'm looking to buy a MkIII Supra Turbo, but I'm having a hard time finding any of the 90/91's for under $8000, so if there's no difference between them and the earlier MkIII years then I can go with an 86.5-89 withouth any problems.

Thanks in advance.

NashMan 04-10-2002 05:25 PM

oh and paradox i did the math and they should not be prob at all nothing so don't worry

as for supra 86.5 to 92

they have kinda changed alot there are 3 eninge that came on the car one is the 3 liter 7m gte 3 liter 7mge us mostly 2.4 liter1jz jap only 91 to 92
then there is the or what ever mad elike very very few of em 200 hp whiht turbo 2 liter piff and the eninge changed gasket here and there

body style changed in 89
but as in all around perf not mucg

like pergesto streeing cam ein at like 89 or 90 i think abs came in 87 whiht the turbo but i can think right now but there just abotu all the same but littel things here and there
