Yeah i got it fixed... sure enough it was what i had kinda expected. The rubber o-ring on the top of the #6 fuel injector did not take a proper seat when i put it in there so i guess it sealed for 100 miles then eventually tore and started spewing fuel. Anyways i just got back home now from work where i was working on the supra. I had to get it towed to work so that kinda sucks too, another 40 bucks i didnt want to spend. Anyways all looks good now :)

NashMan 06-09-2004 06:46 AM

and the funny part is this is just the start of you money beaning sunk into a money pit hehhhe

Slate 85GTS 06-09-2004 10:20 AM

Haha, well... unfortunately if it gets too bad i wont be keeping it.

Enraged 06-09-2004 03:06 PM

keep stock turbo and stock fuel and it wont get too expensive... as soon as you upgrade one of those, you get into big $$...

Paradox 06-09-2004 04:47 PM

haha, yeah. very true :(

Enraged 06-09-2004 06:36 PM

hey bob, whats the word on that lower ic pipe? it work for you?

Slate 85GTS 06-09-2004 09:15 PM

I just ended up buying that one that i had on order from the dealer, for some reason yours was quite a bit different bends?? Its very odd. Anyways so ya i still have your pipe if you want it back. I robbed one clamp off it for now thats all. Anyways the stupid car is screwed again anyways. Now the #1 injector o-ring is leaking...................... rrrrrrrr... :(

NashMan 06-09-2004 09:22 PM

cheak to see fi you injectpr are cluged aus ethen to vibraie out or such

Slate 85GTS 06-09-2004 09:59 PM

Theres nothing wrong with the injectors, i think the stupid o-rings that were supplied in the gasket set are too big or something stupid.

Enraged 06-09-2004 10:43 PM

lame! might as well replace them all to be sure. oh ya, and get a fire extingusher just in case :)

NashMan 06-10-2004 06:40 AM

as long as the oen nearestt eh altanotr is not leaking your all good cause if spo thenthat cna be very bad

fire fire hehee

Paradox 06-10-2004 01:37 PM

when i installed my AFPR i was told not to use a o-ring one one side of it, go figure i had a different model than the norm.

when i fired up my car to test it, it shot gas all over the place around the battery and alternator, hehe.. scary shit

safe to say ive got washers doubled up in there and it hasnt leaked since :D

Enraged 06-10-2004 06:44 PM

well i picked up a bunch of shit today... started sanding and priming my new mouldings. once they are all sanded and primered ill pick up some colormatched paint ($24 from JB) and paint them :)

It is the closest one to the alternator right now thats leaking. Its the #1 injector. But its not even runnable like this anyways. Its not like its just a leak, it sprays out at full fuel pressure. I lose about a liter of fuel in 45 seconds, if that. So its parked until i decide what to do about it for the second time.

Enraged 06-10-2004 08:25 PM

get a variaty of o-rings?

Paradox 06-10-2004 08:35 PM

fuel line leak, or maybe around the FPR?

that sounds like too much fuel for just the injector to be leaking

Enraged 06-11-2004 02:08 PM

haha im goin to look at another cheap sprint tomorrow morning :)

ryan, want to help me do a clutch job on it? free beer!

Nope, its definately the injectors, or i guess its the fuel rail technically. Cause think about it for a minute. If the upper injector o-ring fails/tears, then all you are left with is a pressurized fuel rail spraying past the injector cause the o-ring is damaged. So im getting full fuel pressure spraying all over my engine bay. And the reason im sure its the injectors is cause it was the number 6 injector originally that started spewing. And now i have repaired it with a new o-ring and now i have the number 1 injector o-ring spewing fuel past it... I just bought 6 new o-rings right from toyota today. So i will be putting those on and they better damn well fix this problem. Its getting ridiculous.

Paradox 06-11-2004 05:56 PM

are they stock injectors? sometimes larger injectors have problems seating properly

Slate 85GTS 06-11-2004 08:35 PM

Yes they are just stock injectors, but i think the problem lies within the FelPro gasket set. The o-rings they supplied in the overhaul set looked a little bigger when i finally compared them (after the fact). So im hoping they just screwed up somewhere along the lines. Ive got the proper toyota ones now though so im gonna have to rip it apart and try again.

Enraged 06-12-2004 11:10 AM

buyin the sprint tomorrow :) its in MUCH better condition than the last one, not sure if it actually needs a new clutch or not, might just need adjustment.... hell of a good deal too :)

datsun is for sale now, so if anyone knows of someone looking for a cheap car, let me know.

islandsupra 06-12-2004 11:33 AM

oh come on... the sprint is in PRIME condition.

Paradox 06-12-2004 12:06 PM

how much for the 200?

Enraged 06-12-2004 12:40 PM

i was goin to fix it up and ask $1000, but i paid $800. if you want it for $800 its yours.

NashMan 06-12-2004 06:07 PM
