that totally blows matt, i was hoping your car wouldnt have any major probs.
there isnt really anything you can do but get a rebuild or swap in a fresh engine from a wrecker or order a engine from japan, lots of resellers out there, read around on supraforums or supramania for suppliers, prices, reviews, etc.
you can also just switch to a heavier weight oil and live with it for awhile, not sure how long a car with rod knock will stay together tho.

DAmn.. rod knock sucks.
There's a complete turbo engine up here at South Island Imports. I was talking to the guy and he said it was running fine, except someone just bought the turbo. They are all over the forums and ebay for pretty cheap though.
Might be worth looking in to. If you want I can even stop by and talk to the guy on my way down tomorrow.

Hey Ryan, you are running the Greddy Catchcan right? Do you have it setup as a closed/sealed vacuum system or is it just vented to the atmosphere? Ive heard good and bad about both and im buying a catchcan so i need to know how im gonna set it up. Id like to keep the system closed but what do you think? I might have to come see your car if your running it like i want and take some pics so i can do mine the same way.

ryan: i was right! ha! oil relief plug in the stock 7M-GTE oil filter bracket (as shown here: http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/librar.../lu/LU_02.html and http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/librar.../lu/LU_15.html ) only opens when oil pressure reaches 35-45 psi. so, by switching to an NA filter mount, oil reaches the oil cooler all the time. however, the downside is by having this set up, you can overcool your oil. so you need an oil thermostat to control how much oil goes to the cooler. luckily, an FC RX7 oil cooler for the 13B has an oil tstat built in. you have one at work, let me know how much and ill give you the cash

So i guess its off with my head, on the supra that is... JB screwed up on my valve grind and now i have a leaky exhaust valve on cylinder 2. Its causing a miss at idle and i just hate it all around, it bugs me... so rrr this sucks ass... well yeah i guess i will save up for another gasket set and start tearing it down while its off the road. So yeah, thats my sob story for the day.
