They're the greatest, except that when your feet are wet they just slip off the pedals, defeating the purpose of the "race grip pedals"

Try South Island Imports. I was just there on Friday, they have a complete turbo engine and tranny, minus the turbocharger itself and the driveshaft - both of which can be found locally.

That MSD gadget that lets you pull ignition timing based on how much boost you are running?

I don't think there's ANY question... of course you should.
When you think about it, it's not really WORTH putting in another NA motor. Not if you plan on modding your car, you can't really get a whole lot of power out of the NA, in comparison to the turbo.
Might end up paying an extra 500 bucks for the turbo engine, but you gain over 30hp right there... considerably lower powerband and heaps more potential for the future.

EDIT : plus... you still only have to pay insurance for an N/A car

in my car, re-insured it today and got nailed same day, arggh

the cop was cool tho, kept saying how nice my car was and such. and i got the $196 fine instead of like a $400

it was pretty lame tho, i was stuck behind this truck with a "L" sticker on the back of it going through the single lane traffic at like 55k, so as soon as it went to double lane, i floored it... guess i got a little carried away, cause i was going almost 160
