murray that looks about right. a clutch kit will come with all the necassary clutch related parts, and you could get a lightweight flywheel if you feel like spending some extra coin.

oops, only thing you forgot was a shift knob

umm... are you kidding me?!!
Look again dude. If there was nothing there, the hood would just terminate into the gaping IC cavity.
The front bumper is too agressive IMHO and they had to do that because of the way the part around the headlights is.

Sexiest mk4 to me is stock bodied with fat-ass 5 spokes and *maybe* a bomex front bumper

OH yeah Murray... that is brutal!!

But keep that tranny up here in mind - I am pretty sure we could get everything for ~500-ish.

just need the tranny, clutch assembly, shifter assembly, tranny mount, driveshaft, pedals, master and hardlines.
I have a list somewhere from when I sold my other one I can dig it up if you want.

thats wierd, because thats not what the bomex bumper usually looks like, i've never seen it come out like that, i've only ever seen it come down smooth

i dunno, dropped in at the trans shop today but steve wasnt there... also dropped a msg up at south island imports about the 5spd.

if i can get the auto fixed for free or cheap im going that route, if not its 5spd, seems thats the only way to hold any damn power in these cars

stinkin' insurance just ran out on my Rx7 too, so i have two useless cars haha

$1050 for everything needed for the 5spd swap including the ECU sound like a decent deal? i think its a bit steep, but then again i dont need the ECU so they may be factoring in that price. im waiting for them to get back to me about it

think i'll grab it if they come down in price a bit. i dont really have much of a choice.

ryan you still have your old driveshaft?

that ok i suppose, but then you have to figure in the cost of a new clutch that will hold the power ($500+).

id say get a new master and slave, braided clutch line, good clutch, and then get the rest from them

1050 wow that is steep

so i guess there not goig ot fix you tranny if so that is um liek very gay for them to do that

and yes you can have my old drive shaft

you shoudl eb abel to get tranyy for about 450 buck's all teh rest of the stuff is really junk to any wreaker

then you have to get clutch that about 600 or more bucks pending on what you get

then you can use you old auto tranny cooler as oil cooler that you need cause the stock one is junk for oil cooled turbos

So yeah, i decided to yank the engine again :P shutup reuben! lol... but thats ok, its only for about a week hopefully. Im gonna get my flywheel lightened and resurfaced because i had a bit of clutch chatter so i thought why not do everything while the engine is easy to rip out now. The clutch still looks quite good so im gonna run it for a bit.
