sounds cool bob, let us know how it goes :)

and Toby ya i thought about just buying that entire car up at south island, but really its more of a hassle since i just want to get the supra back together ASAP.

still thinkin' about it tho, since then i'd have the engine too, minus some parts... hmm

NashMan 02-27-2005 02:05 AM

get the ca ri need part of it mostly bolts and nuts ect

Slate 85GTS 02-27-2005 08:26 AM

Ryan, all the nuts and bolts were in your car when it came apart lol what happened to them all? :P

NashMan 02-27-2005 12:22 PM

my brother lost alot of them cause my bro is dick and head and makes shit harder for me to dqy i got to get some painting done

then put some stuff back into the bay i wish iw as nto so dame poor right now or i go buy a new rad cause i want bigger one but still use the stock end tank's

islandsupra 02-27-2005 02:03 PM

I noticed my rad just started leaking, found a few hairline cracks on the top.

I guess I'll probably just JB weld for now and see what happens. If it's not one thing it's always another! On the upside I finally got around to ordering a greddy type-s kit and will have an SAFC 2 in a few weeks. Probably buying tires fairly soon... and hardpipes coming as soon as I get my fucking money for the blue car! :)

islandsupra 02-27-2005 02:05 PM

And before you say it ryan... I AM going to rewire my knock sensors ;). I just can't reach them from the top so I gotta wait until I can get at them from underneath. I really don't feel like having to deal with the manifold - I have to drive this car everyday so I don't wanna have it down for more than a day.

NashMan 02-27-2005 03:37 PM

ummm use jack they do wounders lol

NashMan 02-27-2005 03:42 PM

dame i just pop my eletroics ina dn stuff and wow it look so killer it so new looking and pretty plus i moved some stuff around

and if all goes ot play i should ahve the motor in about theres day but i got order a new polit bareing caus ei can't find my old one and going ot keep all the otehr stuff case it only a about 1 yeasr old or 2 don't knwo spin fine so t all good and i got ot get my fly wheel cheaked too same wiht drive shaft

should i soild monte my fornt sub frame ic an do it very easy but really will it just be pain driven down teh road if solid monte i know my turn in will be fucken killer but hummm

islandsupra 02-27-2005 06:04 PM

I wouldn't solid mount it - but that's just me I guess. Depends where you are gonna drive it most I guess if you just wanna take it to the track and stuff it might be good for auto-x.

But maybe not fun for driving around town and taking it for trips and such.

Slate 85GTS 02-27-2005 06:14 PM

I agree, i wouldnt solid mount it, your engine is already solid mounted to your car i think that will be enough vibration as is. Just leave it for now.

Enraged 02-27-2005 08:25 PM

dont solid mount it. get everything running and see how it feels. you can always do it later

NashMan 02-27-2005 09:45 PM

but i cna all wasy retunr it back ot norm

bbut we will see have nice turn in soudn just gravy

and haly dought all fell to much vebration int eh wheel remmber the sub frame is has bushing and such so that eats up all of it

now if i was ot soild monte i whoudl feel the enigne easy

it's thinker and most likly do it in less it cost alot

Slate 85GTS 02-27-2005 10:22 PM

Well I'm glad you asked everyone's opinion and took them all into equal consideration, as usual. :p

Why do you even bother?

-ness

NashMan 02-27-2005 10:25 PM

i did still not to sure i wana do it i just got decide what i goingot do wiht eh car once done drive it all the time or make it umm sater day auot xer /saterday drive or some thign

Slate 85GTS 02-27-2005 11:41 PM

Ryan, if i were you i would make it a happy medium. I know you are going to do alot of racing with it, but on the other hand you want it to be somewhat comfortable on the street as well. You already said yourself that you arent going to get it to handle a whole lot better than it already did before and since then you have solid mounted the rear subframe and the engine mounts so why not leave it at that. I think thats overkill as it is. Any more than that and your just making it a really rough car to drive on the road. Leave SOME sort of comfort in it.

Paradox 02-28-2005 02:26 PM

dont try to change ryans mind, it will never work :P

i took my car to the trans shop today and worked it out so steve is going to replace the clutches in the trans and see what else is wrong for the price of parts only. shouldnt be much more than $150. so thats good news, if clutches are the only prob

i wont know for sure til tommorow or wednesday

Enraged 02-28-2005 04:05 PM

Enraged 03-01-2005 12:55 PM

i say fix it and sell it becuase if it messed up when hes running 13-15 psi, if he runs it at 20 for any length of time it will probably die again... might as welll sell it when its worth something...

NashMan 03-01-2005 01:44 PM

well they may have better belts or some thign he most likyl took one band out so that not ot big of deal that is teh weak points of the 7m autos that and there clutch but they don't die as much as the bands do

booter22 03-01-2005 08:37 PM

Ordered my LM1 with AUX3 woohoo logging wideband :-)

NashMan 03-01-2005 10:01 PM

hehhehe just in time but now vic will have dyno thou

Oil Burner 03-01-2005 10:53 PM

solid mounts are worth a 10th just another thing to think about, but driving a solid mount car is not much fun from what i've been told just like everyone else has said.
