RSX's are nice cars, they rev real high too... only problems
no torque
front wheel drive
if it werent for those drawbacks, id consider selling my supra and getting a RSX Type S just for the reliability factor and having a brand new car would kickass too..
but ahh well, supras are too much fun. it'd be hard to buy anything else

Hey, yeah I'd be into making a web page. I've done a few (Just finished a 2 year diploma program on Digital Media).
I don't know if there's anything worth mentioning yet about my little NA, but I'd totally put something up about your turbos.
Here's a couple sites that I just finished recently: http://portfolio.itas.mala.bc.ca/dnunez http://www.vireb.com |

oh ya, looks like the DP is about 6 weeks away, so it would be end of the summer to go to the dyno. dyno costs $100 for 3 runs i think.

So I Westjet up to prince george... There's my car, lots of paint scratches, needs a good wash, and fugly sawblades... But a nice strong engine!
Boy am I glad it's an 89... the sexy back end I'm also glad the 3" exhaust tip doesn't have that "look at me, I drive a Honda" look to it. Nice and rumbly though.
Took the targa off for the 9 hour cruise down (that's including an hour's worth of stops)...
This guy in a Topaz tried to race me all the way to Cache Creek... he was actually a fucking psychopath, and almost killed himself many times... This picture was taken at 190km/hr...
I love BC...
This car rocks (stock boost can kiss my ass though) |

it REALLY needs a wash...
but i gotta ask.... why the HELL did it take you 9 hours! it took me 8 hours to get from PG to the ferry in Vancouver! and that was in my BERETTA! hehe i pinned that speedo more times that i should have lol
either way, very nice car! targa is great, isnt it? is it just the light, or just dirty on the front bumper? and can someone please tell me the difference between 86.5-88 and 89-92 rear bumper?
theres a dyno at uvic? but can anyone use it? i also heard theres one in langford somewhere. the reason i wanted to go to vancouver is becuase they have a DynoJet, the most used, and most accurate dyno available right now....

I think I have an exhaust leak, but I can't tell until I get a real boost gauge
Full bost comes around 3500 rpms... it goes a little higher than 2 mmHg on the stock gauge (but not quite to where 3 would be)
I've got an intake/downpipe/exhaust, so shouldn't it pull to 4mmHg (which is 7.8 psi iirc)...
I'll go through in the next few days and check all the hoses, but I don't think this is right.

common boost leak is often the stock blowoff valve. take it off. if you can blow through it, its hooped. the stock boost gauge is totally useless, pay no attention to it.
i wish booter had been sellin his car when i was lookin, i would have taken it off his hands right away....

sweeet, you finally got ur supra!
looks like it has great potential.. im guessing it wasnt winter driven in PG?? hehe, i used to live there -- winters arent pretty.
now its time to begin modding... lol, welcome to the world of owning a supra
must have been a sweet cruise, that route is great, really nice... always fun when you see the odd mountain goat too, or a gigantic pine cone.. hehe
ps - i just got back from parksville... drove up there and back again today, lowered the boost down to 10psi (hopefully for decent mileage). some guy in a riced out newer cavalier tailed me the whole way trying to race me.. finally i just gave up and punched it for like 5 seconds to show him it wasnt no 4 banger... out of all the possible places i could do that, a fucking cop was like right across the road on the highway.. all he did was flash his lights at us, thats cool since the road was in the middle of nowhere.. but we were pretty much above the speed limit at that point. i think ive just found another reason not to race rice (or potatoes) |
