Slate 85GTS 03-27-2005 07:06 PM

Toby, it just depends on what company the head gasket is made by, some of the factory replacement ones are 84mm which is fine but like cometic for example sells one that is 83mm and thats no good if your engine is overbored.

Enraged 03-27-2005 07:14 PM

islandsupra 03-28-2005 10:51 PM

Ryan I'm sure you will get it figured out soon enough. We all know by now that nothing is ever that easy... and wiring is a royal pain in the ass.

Hope you get it figured out soon though dude, it'll be worth it all when it's done :)

That was the initial plan, but while I was away my parents took it there to get repaired, so my NA is gettin fixed as we speak, but I still have to pay for it of course, so for the time being, no gte swap

Enraged 03-29-2005 04:44 PM

thats lame that they are getting it fixed but you have to pay for it...

NashMan 03-29-2005 05:47 PM

Paradox 03-29-2005 07:31 PM

I think they're doing a rebuild, but im not sure, I have to call Tony tomorrow to find out whats up with it

are they sending it out to get rebuilt or swapping in a junker engine?

Enraged 03-29-2005 09:06 PM

no offense intended, i just thought you had wanted to do a turbo swap or something instead of just fixing the stock engine.

Paradox 03-29-2005 09:29 PM

beacon auto doesnt really have the tools to do a full rebuild, maybe they'll send it out to menzies or something.. hard to say
